Your Bijoux Box March 2018 Review

st patricks day card

info card

Here's a product list for the month. Hooray for St. Patrick's Day!

green your bijoux box bag

To celebrate the holiday, some of the items are packaged in these little green bags!

gold necklace with fringe

Exclusive Celtic Princess Collar

The info card calls this a "Celtic Princess" necklace, but it's really not reading very Celtic to me. It's a cute necklace, though—I love the rich gold color and the bits of white crystals that give it a bit of sparkle. It's understated enough to go with my black top and cardi, but I could also use it to dress up a night-out look. It's about 20 inches long, 3 inches of which is extender chain.

Exclusive Aowyn Emerald Ring

I think Aowyn is supposed to be a nod to Eowyn from Lord of the Rings, which I love. Is it Irish? Eh, I don't think so. But again, the design itself is neat. It's a single piece, but when you wear it, it looks like several rings stacked together. I don't think these are real emeralds, but the emerald color is really pretty. I don't like going all out with tons of St. Patrick's Day green, but the Irish heritage in me always makes me want to celebrate in some small way. This pretty ring might be the perfect way to do that in a chic, subtle way.

House of Harlow Native Legend Cuff

This sort of style isn't really my thing. I do appreciate the lightness of the bracelet—it's easy to slip on and doesn't get in the way or slide up and down my arm during the day. The metal is just slightly bendable, too, so you can adjust it to your wrist. It has around 2.25" to 2.5 inches wide, depending on how far you stretch it.

Bonus: Deepa by Deepa Gurnani Headband - Listed Value $60.00

I couldn't find this exact design on Deepa Gurnani's site shop, but other similar headbands she makes go for around $80.00 at retail. It sounds weird, but my head isn't built for headbands like this—they like to slide up and off the back of my head. Haha! But I really like the sparkle that this beaded, elastic headband gave my 'do, so I might try to secure it in place with a small army of bobby pins. I'm happy to have learned about this brand of headbands, though—looking at the website, there are some GORGEOUS broader styles (a.k.a. ones that are more stable on my head) that I might have to add to my wishlist!

The Verdict: I think the product names were a bit of a stretch, but I did like most of the jewelry I got. I liked the gold and green ring—it's cool how it looks like stacked rings, which is a trend I'm really into. The necklace was also super pretty. I think the quality of all of the items was really nice, especially if you consider that you basically pay just $10.00 per piece (including the bonus headband). The only listed value for a product is $60.00, so $10.00 feels like a nice deal.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Nab the March box while it lasts! Usually, this subscription processes orders on the 1st of each month and ships on the 15th.

Value Breakdown: At $39.99 for this box, the average value of each of the featured pieces, counting the bonus headband, would be about $10.00.

Loved this box! The necklace is surprisingly versatile. The ring is fun and the bracelet fits most wrists, which was nice. I have a medium sized wrist and hate getting box items that are super small. Loved everything, great box.

I don’t wear anything gold or gold tone.. Is there anyway I can Only get silver or rose gold items ? Like guaranteed? Ty

My head does the same thing with headbands. But seriously…$60-80 for that?

Otherwise, I do like the ring and the necklace. Bracelets just aren’t my thing though.

I absolutely LOVE this month’s box. I’m wearing the headband right now as a matter of fact. I can’t wait to wear the necklace and the ring too. I think they are both just gorgeous. The only thing I’m not that crazy about is the little bracelet. This style just doesn’t really look good on me so I think I’ll be swapping that one.

I really wish sub boxes would send holidayish items the month before the day occurs(Valentine in Jan, St. Pats in Feb).
