Boho Berry Box April 2018 Review
The info card has descriptions of all the included items and how to use them! This month's theme is "Grow Your Goals" and gives you tools to help with that.
There's also a coupon code to get $5.00 off a purchase of $25.00 or more at gouletpens.com.
Platinum Preppy Fountain Pen in Red, 03 Fine Nib - Retail Value $3.00
The first item is one I am familiar with, though I've never received in red. The Preppy fountain pen comes with brief assembly needed. You have to open up the body to press the ink cartridge into the front of the pen to get the ink flowing. Pretty cool since that means there is no chance of this drying out before you receive it. This pen writes really smoothly and the ink flows really well.
Laurelbox Plantable Seed Paper, 2 Sheets - Retail Value $2.00 (Buy a pack of 6 for $6.00)
This is pretty cool! Each sheet of purple textured handmade paper contains seeds so that when you bury them below a thin layer of soil, they will sprout through as the paper composts. The idea here is to write your goals or intentions on the paper before burying so that they "grow and bloom".
Here's a business card for Laurelbox, the maker of the seed paper.
Bellas Bits and Buys Floral Wreath Sticky Notes - Retail Value $1.99
So pretty! I'm a sucker for fun sticky notes, and this round pad of floral wreath sheets are perfect for Spring. There isn't a ton of space to write in, but you can just jot down a goal or even a little doodle to leave for yourself insight to bring you joy.
In The Clear Red and Purple Floral Washi Tape - Retail Value $2.40
Red and purple is a great color combo and I am all about this soft floral washi tape featuring those colors. You can use this tape to decorate your journal, seal envelopes, or tape up photos or other items that give you life.
Each delivery from Boho Berry Box will also include hand-drawn planner items designed by founder Kara Benz. There is also a monthly challenge each month with prompts that you can find on their blog.
Boho Berry April Tracker Sticker - Retail Value $3.95
Use this A5 size sticker sheet to pop into your journal and track any habits you have for the whole month of April. Since I'm not super familiar with bullet journaling, I get the gist of how to use this but wish there was a clear path (with visual examples) to find out how I can use this. I did some clicky around on the website but didn't easily find anything.
Boho Berry April Sampler Stickers - Retail Value $3.95
Next, there's a sheet of smaller stickers that you can use in your journal that include weekly trackers, to-do lists, and several different April monthly headers, all of which are left black and white for you to decorate any way you'd like
Boho Berry Bloom Where You Are Planted Custom A5 Insert
This dot-grid paper filled insert is presumably used for a Travelers Notebook, though the ones I found in the Boho Berry shop are staple-bound instead of glued like this one. The cover features a black and white design that reads "Bloom where you are planted" which of course fits the whole theme for the month which you can customize with colors, just like the stickers and other journal items.
Boho Berry Custom Floral To-Do List Stickers
The last item by Boho Berry is a sheet of six mini to-do list stickers for you to add to your journal. These are slightly different from the ones listed in their Etsy shop since there are six instead of 12 and have a more detailed floral design around each list. Still fully customizable as though. 🙂
And here's the bottom of the box featuring their logo- an arrow with a fountain pen tip.
Verdict: Although I am a stationery enthusiast and love receiving items for writing, I feel a little out of my element with this bullet-journal specific box. It seems really unique and offers guidance to those who love journalling but may need a little help with how they can fully harness the creative side of things. I enjoyed all of the non-journaling specific items and thought that all of the stickers and trackers were a really cool way to start getting organized.
