Fair Trade Friday is an organization that helps to empower women and battle poverty through dignified, sustainable industry (craftsmanship). They have three subscriptions to choose from that send fairly traded items from around the world: The Original Box, Bracelet of the Month, and Earrings of the Month. I have subscribed to the Earring of the Month box for years now, and I am really excited to have this opportunity to review the Original Box!
This review is of the $32.99 a month Fair Trade Friday Original Box.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Fair Trade Friday Original Box April 2018 Review
This pamphlet was included that has information on all the contents of this month's package, plus information on the artisans who created them. It's really informative!
These little cards were also included, giving some info on Fair Trade Friday and their parent organization, Mercy House Global.
This month, Fair Trade Friday included this insert regarding the global movement called "Fashion Revolution" which they are a part of. It's basically a movement demanding fair treatment and pay for textile workers worldwide. Their guarantee is that all items included in Fair Trade Friday boxes will be 100% handmade, 100% dignified work, and 100% empowerment. This is one of the many things I love about Fair Trade Friday!
Beaded Tassel Necklace by Haiti Design Co-Op - Retail Value $21
This necklace is so delicate and pretty! It is hand beaded by workers in Haiti who are part of the Haiti Design Co-Op, an organization seeking to "bring about sustainable development through design, training, and job creation." These are tiny glass seed beads in pale pink, bronze, and white. The tassel is really different and cool, and I like the length a lot!
Kimono by Village Artisan - Retail Value $29.95
This cotton kimono is so soft, comfortable, and lovely! I wish it were just a little bigger, but it is gorgeous nonetheless. One size fits most is not necessarily going to fit me, and that's OK. This was made by Village Artisan, an organization in India that seeks to provide a sustainable economic opportunity for people of the area through fair trade practices. Their kimonos are also all made from remnants, meaning they use fabric from other garments that would otherwise go to waste. Eco-friendly as well!
The Verdict: I am loving my subscription to Fair Trade Friday Original Box! I really like both items this month! I received two items for a total retail value of $50.95, well above the $33 monthly fee for the box. I also like all the information they provide to show how your subscription directly impacts the lives of others. It makes the subscription seem that much more special.
