Feeling Fab March 2018 Review
An included info card details information regarding the Feeling Fab mission and as well as your specific box. The theme for March is "A Beautiful Life.” I love that the card comes with an affirmation: "Life is a gift. Today begins my new life. I am renewed and restored." I am certainly at a point where the reminder to slow down and concentrate on the moment is appreciated, and it seems that the included products align with that message.
The back of the card lists all product names and values. I always love when subscription boxes include this information.
I also received a card indicating a sneak peek of April's box. A healing chakra bracelet? Very cool!
Wildflower Beauty Bath Tea Bag - Retail Value $4.50
It's no secret that I love baths, so this little tea bag was a wonderful surprise. Drop the tea bag into your bath water for a relaxing blend of lavender, rose, chamomile, and calendula petals. The blend claims to treat both skin and mind. The scent is very subtle, but it definitely made my bath just that much more tranquil.
Laritzy Liquid Lip Stain in Bare - Retail Value $20 (currently unavailable)
This liquid lip stain is really lovely! The shade is a really wearable flushed nude, and its name - 'Bare' - is super appropriate and reflective of rosy hue. It's one of those "my lips but better" products. I found that it dried down a bit, but the finish was satin-y. You can see what it looks like straight out of the tube in my swatch below.
Really pretty, right? This stain is sort of a 'no brainer'-type lip product for days when you want something comfortable and subtle. More than that, though, I was impressed by Laritzy as a company. They're completely new to me, but all of their products are cruelty-free, vegan-friendly, not tested on animals, made with natural and high-quality ingredients, and long-lasting. YES!
Wildflower Relaxation Body Oil Spray, 2 oz - Retail Value $15 (found here for $13)
I got pretty hooked on using lavender for relaxation while I was pregnant, and this scent does not disappoint. The lavender is combined with a bit of orange essential oil to create a calming and citrusy mix. The oil itself is a blend of sunflower oil, hazelnut oil, and grapeseed oil for maximum hydration. I prefer coconut oil or argan oil for my skin, but this oil blend was a nice carrier for the relaxing smell that it delivered. I tossed this little glass bottle into my gym bag for freshening up post-run. It would also be awesome to keep on your bed stand to rub on your temples or neck to induce sleep.
Oiliving Life Scrub Mee Body Scrub, 4 oz - Buy an 8 oz jar for $28.99
While I love the idea of scrubs like this, I always hate how they clog up my drain. This one is made primarily from evaporated organic sugar cane, so it did actually disintegrate quite well with water. And the hibiscus, rose petals, and moisturizing babassu oil made it smell great! I used this in the bath that I ran with the Wildflower tea bag for an overall super luxurious and natural experience. I just massaged a handful at a time into my shoulders and arms for really nourished and exfoliated skin results.
Set of 3 Box Naturals Cleansing Towelettes - Total Retail Value $3.00 ($1.00 each. All are currently sold out.)
These are another great item for throwing into your gym or yoga bag. They could even be used to freshen up after a trip to the beach or pool, remove makeup, or freshen sensitive areas (they're pH balanced!). I found their scents to be really light but definitely noticeable enough to linger on the skin. They're super cooling, and the towelettes are biodegradable and free of parabens, petrochemicals, dyes, sulfates and synthetic fragrances. Rosewater was my favorite!
Self-Love Exercise: Zen Card
Each Feeling Fab box comes with with a self-love exercise. This zen card gives direction to focus on worthiness through breathing and affirmation. I really like that the card itself is pretty and convenient for sticking in the corner of a mirror or placing somewhere noticeable as a daily reminder. I really loved taking some time out of my day to center myself and allow myself to feel grateful for who I am - necessary for an anxiety-ridden new mom!
Verdict: I thoroughly enjoyed this month's Feeling Fab box. I also super appreciate the self care message. It's important to take time for yourself!
The value of this box is listed at $60. Considering the $33.74 box cost + shipping, the value is pretty great for someone that appreciates natural ingredients in wellness and beauty. Overall, Feeling Fab is a great way to explore natural self-care items enabling you to take a step back and focus on mindful living.
