March 2018 'Relic' Loot Gaming Review

The Relic box features items from Sea of Thieves, God of War, WoW, and Skyrim!

You'll get a large fold-out information sheet.

One side features a 28x22 poster - this month features God of War - the game that just arrived at my house today!

The reverse side will walk you through the items in the crate.

Sea of Thieves Pin - Value $5?

This month's exclusive pin is modeled after a doubloon with the Sea of Thieves logo front and center.

God of War Shirt - Value $15?

The exclusive shirt features God of War! The shirt is a callout to Sleipnir - Odin's eight-legged horse. Shirt aside, I couldn't be more excited to get going with the latest God of War game that just arrived! It looks fantastic!

Sea of Thieves Flameheart Figure - Value $15-20?

The latest in the Loot Crate Screen Shots figure line comes from Sea of Thieves and features Flameheart.

While I've never played Sea of Thieves, I still think that this is one of the coolest sculpts they've done - there's a ton of character detail here - and that gold paint is popping!

World of Warcraft Cookbook - Value $20? (based on digital and hardcover pricing)

Recently, Loot Crate has been sending out a ton of Insight Edition books across all of their crates. That continues this month with a World of Warcraft Cookbook.

These features dishes that are inspired by in-game food - that's a fun idea. The book isn't hardcover, which may be why it's an exclusive edition? I'm not too sure.

Skyrim Pins - Value $10?

There are a few little items for Skyrim. The first is a pair of enamel ins featuring in-game achiements.

Skyrim Air Freshener - Value $2?

And finally, the last item is a vanilla-scented air freshener.

Verdict: I was happy to find no repeat items this month. I really like the shirt and the figure - which are going to provide the majority of value in this box - but I was little let down by the Skyrim items. The pins are nice, but the air freshener feels like a toss-in.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No - they're currently taking orders for the April 2018 box. You'll have until the 27th of each month to get that month's theme!

Felt a bit ripped off that cookbook came out a year or two ago and as a World of Warcraft fan I already had it. It seems that its an abridged version and in softcover, so it really made the crate not worth it when I had only kept my subscription for an exclusive world of warcraft item.

Too bad such a cool sculpt was wasted on a bomb of a game. Imagine had they done one of those for literally any other game in the box! Oh well.
