Loved + Blessed April 2018 Review

This month’s Loved + Blessed theme is “Enough.”

Mini Poster

This month’s mini-poster says, “Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful” and on the back it says, enjoy what you have stop focusing on what you're missing.” Their mini posters are always motivational and encouraging. I put one of the mini posters in a frame, and I have it displayed on my dining table. I’m still figuring out what to do with the stack of mini-poster from previous boxes. I don’t want to have them displayed in frames individually, any ideas.

Reminder Sticker

The reminder sticker says, “Enough.” The silver lettering on the clear sticker background is cool and a departure from the colored designs and lettering on previous stickers.

Scripture Card

This month’s scripture comes Psalm 16: 5-6 NIV, “Lord, You alone are my portion and my cup; You alone make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance”.

Bookmark

This small bookmark has stencil cut-outs of birds, flowers, and a birdcage plus, its a ruler. The bookmark was a nice compliment to the book in this months box.

Enough by Elise Knobloch

Enough by Elise Knobloch- Retail Value $12.00

I look forward to continuing reading to see what God defines as “Enough” for me. From Enough:

Part Bible study, part cup-of-coffee-with-a-friend, Enough offers encouragement to those seeking to live life to the fullest, but not always feeling fulfilled. Author Elise Knobloch considers the ancient Hebrews’ daily gathering of manna—an amount that God defined as “Enough” for them—and reflects on how we can find contentment in God’s daily gifts as well. Using wit, biblical research, and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor and sarcasm, Elise invites readers to allow their human authenticity to be the very space in which God’s glory shines the brightest. The Hebrews had much to learn about depending on their God, and perhaps we do too, as we seek to find our Enough in a God who offers exactly what we need.

Encouragement Kit

Loved + Blessed include an Encouragement Kit with every subscription box. I love the idea of an encouragement kit. It is meant to be passed on to a stranger or as an encouragement for someone I know.

Here’s the scripture card that’s in the envelope. The scripture is Matthew 5:14-15 NIV, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house”. This card was in a previous box, and I have yet to send the card out to a friend or loved one. The scripture card in the envelope was different. I love the concept of a pop-up card, but there was too much advertisement and logo placement throughout the card.

The back of the envelope has “Encourage one another daily.”

Verdict: This month’s Loved + Blessed box was an improvement from the last few months. The book and bookmark pair well and make for a thought-provoking read that digs into what I need to say “Enough” to in my life and allow God to show me what I need. This box does deliver on encouraging my soul with the monthly scriptures, and the mini-poster plus, their theme and color design that runs throughout the box is well coordinated and lovely. This month’s estimated value falls around the cost of the subscription which is $19.99 plus free shipping.
