Spring 2018 Men's Health Box Review
The Spring 2018 Men's Health Box features 10 new items to try - 2 fashion items, 2 grooming items, 3 fitness items, 2 food items, and a 1 new set of earbuds.
It comes with an information card that details the items in your box.
I'll go by category for each set of items!
FASHION
Dead Soxy Socks - Value $22 on their site ($25 on the card)
There are two pairs of socks this month (one listed under fitness) - this is the more stylish pair of socks from Dead Soxy.
These are nice and breathable for dress socks while still having some tighter fitting areas to help keep them up on your calf throughout the day.
DIBI Pocket Square - Value $30 on their site ($37 on the card)
The second fashion item is a 100% silk pocket square from DIBI.
It has a very classy and basic look to it - which I like - but I'm not entirely sure that everyone received the same style.
FOOD
Skratch Labs Anytime Energy Bar - Value $2.50
I've tried a number of different protein and energy bars in subscription boxes throughout the years - this is easily my favorite bar that I've tried!
Even better, these bars work for Liz as well - who needs her bars to be gluten-free - we've already purchased a pack from Amazon and they're working their way into our daily routines!
New Zealand Beef Jerky - Value $7
The final food item is New Zealand beef jerky. This is a leaner pasture-raised beef, while it wasn't my favorite jerky, it was pretty tasty for not really having any type of seasoning.
FITNESS
OS1st Compression Socks - Value $25
These socks are just fantastic! These socks were designed to help with workouts and plantar fasciitis - and it really works.
Here's some detailed information from their site:
With precise targeted compression levels, the FS4™ features Compression Zone Technology that is designed for proper foot support and injury prevention. Add to that, soft moisture-wicking fabric with anti-odor treatment and padding in the right places which creates a technical performance sock that strengthens the foot structure and prevents Plantar Fasciitis, as well as, overuse injuries.
Most importantly, they are very comfortable to wear throughout the day. I typically shy away from compression style socks, but these have been some of the best I've tried in a subscription box.
Pulse Skincare Sore Muscle Rub - Value $19
This is a lavender scented rub to help with aches and pains. On top of that, it's created with all natural ingredients!
SKLZ Hydro Roller - Value $40 (on sale for $20!)
This was a really interesting item - it's a water bottle, but it's also wrapped with high-density rolling foam for you to use in your workout. It's a nice way to condense some items that you might be carrying or even just a nice thing to have at the office for use.
GROOMING
LAFCO Mint Tisane Soap - Value $17
While $17 for a bar of soap sounds crazy to me, I can totally understand why this one is pricey.
First, it's huge - it's an 8.5-ounce bar of soap. Second, it's pretty much the nicest smelling and a new favorite of mine. It's very hydrating and leaves you with a fantastic scent.
Here's a bit more about this artisanal soap from their site:
Clippings of basil, eucalyptus, bay leaf, sage and mint are laid out to dry undisturbed on a sun-filled windowsill. Fresh ginger shavings and a few thorns of clove suggest this could be the makings for homemade mint tea.
Spearmint and peppermint receive a healthy squeeze of lime, basil and star anise.
Certainly worth a try!
LAFCO Mint Tisane Hand Lotion - Value $20
If you liked the soap, then you're going to like this hand lotion. It's made with the same scent, so it's nice to pair it with your new soap.
As a bonus, they've even sent a new little sample of their body cream - these LAFCO products are just fantastic.
TECH
FRESHeBUDS - Value $80
The final item in the box is a tech item - a pair of wireless and waterproof earbuds.
The first thing to note is that these are some of the nicest fitting earbuds I've tried. It felt like a natural fit of my ear and was instantly comfortable.
Sound-wise, they're actually very good for earbuds. My biggest issue with earbuds is almost always the low-end of the sound, but this pair of earbuds has very good low-end - these are some of the best sounding earbuds I've tried.
It also comes with a few different earpieces for you to get the perfect fit and a clip to keep them secure while working out.
Verdict: This is one of the best deliveries from Men's Health for me! I can get use out of every item in the box and they all seemed like high-quality and fantastic products. I love the socks, earbuds, food, and soap the most - that's a long list! Fingers crossed for more deliveries like this one.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? I believe so - they note that "If you subscribe after the current quarterly box has shipped, we will ship you that quarterly box (if supplies still exist). Otherwise, your first box will ship in the next quarter." - The box is listed as In Stock, so I believe it would still be the most recent shipment - I'd check with customer care to be sure!
