Molr Dental Club Review
I jumped at the chance to review the Il Ultimo Pacchetto package because I care a lot about my dental hygiene and love trying the new products out there. I'm one of the weirdos who loves my 6-month check-ups, to which I credit my childhood Dentist (shout out to Dr. Tarkany!) who made me love to brush. This package contains a Molr brand brush, Molr floss, and Marvis toothpaste.
Molr Toothbrush in Pink - Retail Value $4.00
This baby comes in four colors that you get to choose from, which all feature "binchotan charcoal infused bristles which are extra soft on your teeth and gums". I gotta say, brushing with this felt like brushing with fluttering angel wings. I used to think I needed a harsh bristle to scrub my pearlies, but have lately heard that soft is the way to go! No frills here either, just some soft black bristles and a straight handle with a single divot in it.
Marvis Toothpaste in Classic Strong Mint, 3.8 oz. - Retail Value $12.00 (Found here for $10.50)
Like the toothbrush color, you get to choose from seven different flavors of Marvis Toothpaste which originally hails from Italy. This first thing I noticed was that this paste was a lot thicker than my current one, and really packs a minty fresh punch which I love. Even though I've been using this one quite a bit, I'm trying desperately to get through my old tube so I can switch to this one full time.
Molr Smooth Glide Floss - Retail Value $4.50
Yep, the floss is also black (like the bristles of the toothbrush) and super sleek looking (like floss should be). They have a woven version if the glide is too slippery for you. I'll admit, as much as I love dental hygiene, I'm not great at flossing. They recommend this smooth floss for those of us with tighter-fitted teeth. I find that I am sometimes fighting to get the floss back out from between my teeth once it's in, and this eliminates that struggle.
There are other packages available for people who use electric toothbrushes and want to pass on the manual brush:
The Electric Boogaloo 2 Package features Sonicare heads.
Or Oral-B heads.
ADD ON: C+C Whitening Factory - Buy in a set with a toothbrush for $43.95
This product is not part of the package, but they also offer their own whitening powder called C+C Whitening Factory (get it??) that you can add to your cart (presumably as a one-time purchase) when you subscribe. Those C's stand for carbon and coconut, and it comes in the form of a super fine black powder. The only ingredients are activated charcoal (made from raw coconut shell), natural calcium bentonite clay, and organic mint extract. I'm not going to lie, this stuff gets MESSY. The directions say to add a pinch of the powder to a wet toothbrush and brush for 2 minutes. If you've used charcoal toothpaste before, you've probably noticed how much splatter can happen (and more importantly, get noticed) when the product is black instead of the usual white. This one definitely requires a hardy clean-up after each use. They suggest to use this twice a day and consider the container a 3-4 month supply. I'm going to guess that you'd use this instead of toothpaste, but it doesn't exactly specify. I haven't used it enough to see a difference in my smile yet because they messiness has made me shy away from using it very often.
Verdict: Through Molr Dental Club, I've discovered possibly the world's softest toothbrush and my new favorite toothpaste. For $16.00 I received a toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste which is probably a little more than I'd normally spend, but I was impressed with the products. The whitening powder might be a little too messy for me to want to keep up with on the daily, but my desire for gleaming white teeth may prevail in the future.
