Pink Seoul Plus Box March/April 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
This box also includes an info sheet that details how to start a Korean Skincare routine, as well as a sheet detailing the products.
Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Essence Balm, 7.2 grams - Retail Value $10
Tony Moly has some of the most fun packaging I’ve seen, and this thick lip balm is no exception. It is hydrating and soothing to my very chapped lips, and it’s easy to find in my very messy purse. Is this lip balm worth $10? Probably not, but I love getting it in a box like this.
Tony Moly Red Apple Hand Cream, 1.05 oz - Retail Value $12
More cute packaging! I love that this apple hand cream relates to the apple in the peeling gel, and this is creamy and hydrating without making my fingers greasy. I don’t feel like I can ever have enough hand creams, so I’m happy to add this to the mix.
Mizon Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel, 4.05 oz - Retail Value $17
This is the K-Beauty version of Peter Thomas Roth FirmX Peeling Gel, and it has apple extract (and lovely apple scent) to boot. If you’ve never used it, visible clumps of stuff will form between your hands as you exfoliate your dry face. I don’t know if I 100% believe that all of those clumps are just dead skin, but it was a nice (and fun) exfoliation without being too harsh.
COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pads, 70 ct - Retail Value $19 (found here for $17)
Toning is the one skin care step that I am not awesome about, so I was happy to see these toner-soaked pads (especially ones packaged with such unique artwork)! Even though they are for treating acne they aren’t to harsh on my skin the way other similar products have been. Plus, since there are 70 pads I have enough for more than two months if used once a day! This entire box is awesome but I think this was my favorite product of the bunch.
Tony Moly Painting Therapy Pack in Blue, 30 grams - Retail Value $6.50
This is designed to be used with other packs from Tony Moly, with the different colors addressing different skincare concerns. This mask also came in the regular bimonthly box, so I wish I had gotten a different color to really get to painting. I am battling some stubborn hormonal acne, and I used this to soothe the acne on my chin after exfoliating and toning. It soothed, hydrated, and now I want to buy a brush specifically for painting face masks onto my skin.
W.Dressroom Dress & Living Clear Perfume, 2.34 oz - Retail Value $13
I thought at first this was a perfume, but it’s actually a room and fabric spray! This is a really light and lovely rose scent that I would totally be okay spraying all over my apartment. This was the “accessory” item of the month, and I think it was a unique choice. Since this also came in the regular bi-monthly box, I am happy to have gotten a different scent!
The Saem Skin-Fit Mask Sheet in Aloe, Retail Value $3
This mask was on the goopier/drippier end, and because of that, it was harder to unfold. The aloe was soothing and hydrating though, which I always appreciate.
EcoPure Real Therapy Hydrogel, Estimated Value $4
I LOVE thicker gel masks like these, so I was all over this mask. It comes in two parts, a cheek/nose/forehead half and then a lower jaw half that made for a really comfortable fit. This mask was cooling to my skin the entire time I wore it, and I would love to get my hands on more of these.
The Verdict: This was my first month trying PinkSeoul Plus, and this really was a box of fun. I am happy that all of the skincare items I got are specific to my skin concerns, and I think this is a great assortment of full-sized products. I am excited to see what a few weeks of Korean Skincare can really do for my skin. This box promises a value of at least $80, and I calculated a value of $84.50.
