Pop In A Box is a Funko POPs subscription that helps you build out your collection every month! You can sign up to receive 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, or 12 POPs each month.

This is a review of a 6-POP delivery.

One thing to note with this subscription - sometimes, your POPs arrive in different packages - weeks apart! They have been better about this recently and I received all 6 in one box again.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

March 2018 POP In A Box Review

This is a no-frills subscription. You'll be getting the amount of POPs of your choice in a plain brown box. But, with any subscription, you'll have a chance to pull a 6 inch POP or POP Ride - I think I've received an oversized POP at least twice with my subscription.

Here's a quick run-down of creating your PIAB account:

The first thing you'll want to do is set up your collection. This is an important step to ensure that you don't receive a duplicate POP or a POP that you may not care about.

piab-1

You can cycle through POPs and selection options for each one. Mark 'Add to my Collection' for POPs you have and avoid duplicates. Give POPs a thumbs down to let PIAB know that you don't want it, and mark it as thumbs up to let them know that you're really interested in that specific POP.

piab-2

There are a TON of POPs to go through. I haven't even gone through all of them, but in the end, you'll have built your own collection! This will help you keep track of what you have, and it will help PIAB know what to send.

They also no offer subscription options for Marvel, DC, Disney, Dorbz, and Rock Candy - find out all the details here!

Jon Snow

The first POP features the King of the North - Jon Snow!

He's in his Night's Watch garb - it's a pretty basic sculpt, but the character doesn't have a ton of flair, either.

There are a ton of POPs to collect - and I'm sure there are more and more coming.

Hellboy (chase variant)

I managed to pull two Chase variants this month - Hellboy was one of them!

This is such a good POP sculpt - not to mention such a vibrant color.

This gets me my favorite characters in the collection - and I think this is one of the best collections they have to offer - such cool sculpts.

Buddy The Elf (chase variant)

The second Chase variant was Buddy the Elf with the jack-in-the-box toy.

Certain POP figures seem to really capture that character so well - this seems like one of them!

I pretty much HAVE to get that Narwhal.

Darth Vadar

Next, it's the first POP in the Star Wars series - Darth Vadar!

At this point, this is pretty much a classic POP!

I don't have many from this original line - some are harder to find now, too.

Furiosa

The next 2 POPs are all from Mad Max: Fury Road - let's start with one of the purest badass characters - Furiosa.

While it's a basic sculpt - the character is just so awesome that it was instantly one of my favorites.

I've received about 1/3 of this collection in this shipment!

Nux

The last POP in my box is Nux from Mad Max.

Again, it's a pretty basic sculpt - but this was pretty much the state of the character for the entire movie.

After digging through these two POPs and looking at the collection - I really need to rewatch this movie.

Verdict: The more you sign up to receive, the more savings you'll get - so I think that really makes this subscription most beneficial to the collectors looking to complete full lines. If you're that collector, like me, then you'll have fun keep your list up-to-date and unboxing POPs each month. This month's selections were perfect!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? There are no monthly themes and the POPs are a mystery, so your box will be different than what I receive. Your subscription also starts at the time of order.

Are Chase variants frequent for you to get 2 in a box? :O
Also I’m loving the detail on Nux’s back!

No, not really – 2 were very surprising!

I don’t watch enough movies or TV shows to know who most of these characters are, but I appreciate the detail that goes into making these and enjoy looking at them close up out of the box here.
