Scrub30 Scrub-A-Dub Review
Sparkling Citrus Shampoo, 2.5 fl oz - Retail Value $5.99
This shampoo is scented with citrus orange, lemongrass, chamomile, star rose, and sage, and in real life that smells like orange ice cream. I am not mad about it— I think that is a fun and unique scent for a shampoo. While this is sulfate and paraben-free and has argan oil in it, this was a bit too strong of a shampoo for my hair type. I think if you don't have a lions mane of curls, however, this would be a good shampoo for you to use.
Sparkling Citrus Conditioner, 2.5 fl oz - Retail Value $6.99
This conditioner is sulfate and paraben-free while also being packed with argan oil, wheat protein, and vitamin E. Like the shampoo, this had an orange ice cream scent, and it was hydrating on my hair. I did need to use way more than the recommended quarter-size amount to get through all of my hair, so I don't see this conditioner lasting more than ten showers. I condition my hair a bit more frequently than that.
Midnight Berry Shower Gel, 2.5 fl oz - Retail Value $4.99
This fun shower gel had an almost metallic sheen to it, and I was digging it. The scent is “Juicy Berry, Sparkling Mandarin, Coconut, Honeysuckle, Vanilla & Apricot Nectar,” and collectively my nose called it a light, fruity scent. It was very soft on my skin and made a creamy lather, so it checked the boxes on what a good body wash needs to do.
Lakeview Breeze Shower Gel, 2.5 fl oz - Retail Value $4.99
This shower gel checked all of the boxes like the Midnight Berry shower gel, only the scent is lavender, star rose, white jasmine, violet, sandalwood, and vanilla. This was my favorite scent of the two shower gels, as the scent was a touch stronger and more complex. The lavender and vanilla mixed with the jasmine and sandalwood made for a really lovely shower experience.
Caddy Orange Scrubber, - Retail Value $4.99
To be honest, I don't want to even think about when I actually should throw away my scrubbers vs when I actually do. I think it's like cleaning your makeup brushes— you need to be doing it a lot more than you actually are. Apparently, I am not alone, which is why each subscription from Scrub30 comes with a scrubber. The folds of this scrubber are more densely packed than a cheap one you can get at Wal-Mart, and it lathered with the body wash well.
The Verdict: Scrub30 is a relatively new company (I think they have been open for less than a year), and I think it shows promise. I could tell that all of the products were of good quality, and there is definitely convenience in having your shower goods delivered once a month— one less thing to add to your grocery list and then forget to buy anyway. I am hoping that as they grow they will offer more scents to change up the options because as of now they are quite limited, however, the quality is there. The current scents were lovely, and I enjoy the idea of getting fresh shower products a month without a bunch of bulky packaging (before I started reviewing boxes I had the same massive container of body wash from Costco chilling out in the corner of my shower, and I got tired of it within six weeks of getting it). The products are pricey compared to what you get at the grocery store, however along with the quality of the products themselves you are paying for sustainable packaging that is consciously produced. Plus, I really just like the duck packaging that's throughout the items. I love ducks.

Value Breakdown: This box has a total value of about $28, which is slightly higher than the $25.16 box cost, but lower than the $33.86 total cost including $8.70 shipping to Louisiana. Each subscription level offers a 10% discount on the products vs buying them individually. Since the products aren't available in stores, you will be paying for shipping no matter if you buy the products as one-offs or as a subscription.
For $33.86, each of the 5 products cost me $6.77.
