The Mr. Collection is an unlimited clothing rental subscription. Your stylist puts a pack together based on your style profile and you keep it for as long as you like (1 day, 2 months, any length of time). When you are done wearing those pieces you send them back in the included pre-paid envelope and another pack will be put together and sent to you. You have an unlimited number of packs per month and you have the option of buying any of the pieces you love.
Mr. Collection has a Mr. Play (everyday/casual), Mr. Business (business casual/formal), and Mr. Combo (combo of both plans). They also have The Ms. Collection for women.
This is the review for The Mr. Collection Mr. Play plan, which is $49 per month (plus free shipping).
Each pack will include 3-4 pieces of quality, designer, casual clothing for your everyday look. When you sign up, you answer questions about your style (size, colors, patterns, clothing type, etc.). An actual stylist puts your pack together so, even though your pieces are a surprise, they should work for you. You can leave feedback for your stylist to help make your next pack even better.

Mr. Collection Mr. Play April 2018 Review
My husband, John, was really excited to see the colors in this box. Let’s see how things fit.
The included info card includes some instructions for the pack and the retail value and member price for each item.
First up is an outfit with two of the pieces.
Gramicci Jeans, Size 34/32 - Retail Value $69, Member Price $55.20
These jeans are so soft and fit so well in John’s hip and thigh area. I think this is the Patriot Blue Wash and is dark with some whiskering at the thigh (not too much though). I like the simple back pockets and that they don’t sit too low. Typically, John is a 30” inseam and these are a 32” inseam. They are a bit too long and he didn’t like them cuffed, so if we kept them, we would need to hem them to his length. The fabric contains 1% lycra for stretch and a Coolmax/thermolite combo for moisture wicking and breathability.
John says: “These are really comfortable. Can you hem?” Lol, not well.
Ohxdawn Alignment Shirt, Size L - Retail Value $106 USD, Member Price $95.40
I love this shirt! It fits John so well. The dark green/gray color is accented with tiny flecks of blue, navy, and orange. It is made of a thick fabric with a hint of stretch so it is comfortable and flattering. There are no wrinkles either. Yay! This shirt is pricey to purchase though. I’m glad John got a chance to wear it because he wouldn’t have bought it for himself.
John says: “I really like this shirt. I can throw it on over my short-sleeve shirts for cold weather and it feels nice.”
Vestige Tee, Size L - Retail Value $48, Member Price $36
John wears a lot of tees and this one is so him. I think the color is super flattering with his green eyes. The 100% cotton fabric is soft and on the thicker side, which is great for guys with body hair (no undershirt required). This actually layers under the button up shirt (above) well too. The length is perfect in the body and the sleeves and the neckline is perfect (John hates wide necklines).
John says: “I like this t-shirt. The pattern isn’t too crazy and it feels really soft and isn’t too thin.”
About Returns:
Each pack includes a pre-paid return envelope. When you are done with your pieces, just pop them in here and drop it off at the post office. The Mr. Collection will process your return and get a new pack out to you within a few days. (If you are purchasing anything, just leave them out of your return package.)
A note about cleaning: You don’t have to clean the pieces before sending them back. Mr. Collection has everything cleaned once the pieces are returned. I didn’t notice any smell (including fragranced detergent which is good for those with sensitive skin), stains, or signs of wear. Actually, everything was in great condition!
The Verdict: What a slam dunk for John! Everything was perfect for except for the length of the jeans, which we could fix with a quick hem. I think he liked the button up shirt the most and he seems to like the surf shop quality of the clothing in this box. One big draw for him is that he gets to wear clothing that is high quality but that is out of our normal price range. If he planned well, he could return/receive several packs a month and essentially have a never-ending new closet. I’d have to convince him to return them though. Just this pack alone was worth $223, and for a cost of $49 with free shipping, I think it is a great deal.
