Beauteque Beauty Box April 2018 Review

The theme for this month is “Sip Sip, Hooray!” and it features 6 full-size, thirst-quenching skincare products!

Candy O’Lady Ade Mist in Blue Lemon - 60ml Retail Value $6.99

I love love LOVE how refreshing this face mist is! The citrus scent is so fresh! I love how cooling and soothing it was on my skin. The size of this bottle is perfect for me to carry everywhere, especially as the weather gets hotter. I’m a big fan!

Medi Flower Green Tea Sleeping Mask - 100g

Medi Flower Green Tea Sleeping Mask - 100g Retail Value $13.99

I enjoy the convenience of a sleeping mask, and this one packs a punch. This sleeping mask is infused with green tea extract, oregano extract, willow bark extract, and sunflower seed extract. While I don’t particularly enjoy the scent (too perfume-y), the formula absorbed pretty well on my skin and left my skin moisturized the next day. I have a sleeping mask that I like more so I will use this one on my body instead.

Farm Stay Green Tea Seed Moisture Emulsion - 300ml Retail Value $14.99

This lotion is just okay. I like the light texture and how fast it absorbed, but it has a baby lotion scent, which is not my cup of tea. I was hoping that the scent would be more refreshing since I associate green tea with something more light and fresh. I might just pass this on to my younger sister.

A’PIEU Honey & Milk Lip Oil - 1oz

A’PIEU Honey & Milk Lip Oil - 1oz Retail Value $7.99

10/10 for cute packaging and sweet, a yummy scent! This lip oil is thick and a tad bit too sticky for me. On the plus side, it lasted a really long time on my lips, so I’ll just use it as my nighttime lip treatment.

A’PIEU Vitamin Tok Powder - 2oz Retail Value $7.99

For this tiny bottle of powder, the price seems pretty steep. This powder is said to have ‘vitamin complex’, which helps combat dull skin and hyperpigmentation. The recommended usage for this powder is quite versatile. You can mix it with your cleanser, essence, mask, sleeping pack, etc. I like to use it on its own as the last step of my night time routine so my skin feels less sticky. I haven’t noticed any brightening benefits so far though.

E. Saline Vogue Green Tea Facial Oil Blotting Paper - 80 sheets Retail Value $4.99

If you have oily skin, this item will be your best friend. Just press one sheet on your oily area for 2-3 seconds and the paper will absorb oil instantly without interrupting your makeup. I like that these sheets come in cute cat packaging and smell like lemons! Definitely a hit for me!

Verdict: The total value of this box is $56.94, which is more than twice what you pay for it, but not as much as their promised value. The items in this box are green tea heavy, so if you are not a green tea fan, you might not like it as much. My favorite items from this box are the mist and blotting paper. Overall, Beauteque Beauty Box would be a great box if you enjoy trying new Korean beauty products. I am looking forward to next month’s box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the May box. Place your order by the 15th of each month to get that month's box.

Thanks to MSA, she's now subscribed to almost 10 beauty and lifestyle boxes, with FabFitFun, BeautyFIX, and Clean Beauty Box as her favorites. Ps. Her boyfriend thinks that she's only subscribed to Ipsy, so please keep this a secret between us ;-)

Annabella

Has anybody received their May box yet? I don’t even have a shipping email.

Luna

Yes, I believe I got mine on 6/1, and I did get the shipping email on 5/30.

Thanks Luna, after some investigation I realized I had a six month prepay which does not auto-renew. Mystery solved although I would have loved a response back from the company :).

Anna

Do they send a makeup bag every month? Or not anymore?

Hi Anna, for the past 5-6 months, they don’t send out make up back anymore. I hope that helps!

Oh, that’s right! I totally forgot they used to send makeup bags with each box. I’ve been subbed for the past 5 months and I haven’t received a makeup bag in any box.

That’s not a bad idea about using the sleeping pack on your body. I only do sleeping masks once per week, so that would probably last me a whole year. Plus, that emulsion is super large to be used solely on the face, and since it has a baby lotion smell (which I love), I might just use that as a body moisturizer too (plus again, that would probably take me a whole year to use up if I just used it on my face).

I’ve been using the blotting papers, and really like them, but I haven’t noticed a lemon scent. Mine don’t smell like anything, but I wouldn’t complain if they did smell like lemons. 🙂
