Busy Bee Stationery May 2018 Review
This month’s theme is SPRINGTIME. From the Busy Bee blog:
“Hello, Fellow Stationery Devotee! It’s Springtime! Let's enjoy blooming flowers, birds singing and cheerful Spring colors. This month we collaborated Bee Magical Jewelry to bring you a hand-made little bumblebee wish bracelets in every box.”
I found the blog to be very helpful to learn more about each product in the box.
Sweet Water Decor – Palms Spiral Notebook - Retail Value $14.99 (found on sale here for $12.99)
This notebook feels high quality and I like the gold foil lettering. The hardcover makes it a great option to throw in a bag or purse.
Diamond ‘Rock’ Polka Dot Ballpoint Pen - Retail Value $4.13
I love that this pen is different than anything else I own, so it won’t get lost in the pen drawer. It will be easily found whenever I need a pen. My toddler found it hilarious and wanted to use it immediately.
3D Apple Memo Note Pad - Retail value $1.99
While I wish these were sticky notes rather than just individual notes, it is still super cute. I love all things apple and find the 3D aspect appealing.
Spring Picnic Stickers - Retail Value $2.24
Cute Rainbow Label Stickers- 6 Sheets - Retail Value $2.25
I think these go well with the planner and match the theme of Spring Time. I love stickers so I always enjoy these sticker pages.
Bee Magical Jewelry – Handmade Bumblebee Wish Bracelet - Retail Value $5.95
According to the blog, “All the materials are recycled for environmental sustainability & 10% of profits go to charity for the bees (NY BEE SANCTUARY).”
I like that 10% of the profits benefit bees. The bracelet is very lightweight; it isn’t something that I would wear but it’s a nice sentiment.
Missing Product: Spring Floral Canvas Pencil Case - Retail Value $3.99
My box was missing the Spring Floral Canvas Pencil Case. It wasn’t in my Busy Bee Box, however, I know it was supposed to be included because the blog lists it as a product in the box (all boxes are the same). Retail Value $3.99
The Verdict: I liked the notebook the most of all the items, and I think it will be nice to use the stickers in it. While I liked the items, I felt this box was a very low value for the cost of the box.
All the products in this box total $29.30 before shipping, $33.29 if I had received the Pencil Case. That is less than the cost of the box, which is $39.90.
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the June box. From Busy Bee Stationery:
