California Found April 2018 Review

Instead of a booklet or pamphlet, California Found sends these really cool info cards for each product. They are very nice quality and informative. It also points out that they donate 10% of their profit every month to a charitable cause, and this month it's Heal the Bay in honor of Earth Day! Also, the little band holding the cards together is embedded with wildflower seeds, so it's plantable! So awesome!

Mini Quartz Hoops by Craft and Copper

Mini Quartz Hoops by Craft and Copper - Retail Value $36

These earrings are 100% my style! I love them! They are wrapped quartz and sterling silver. The design is so elegant! Craft and Copper is the brand of artisan Brenna Van Norman in San Diego. Her jewelry line focuses on sleek, simple design and quality pieces.

Fiber & Dye South Coast Botanicals Notebook - Retail Value $6

Fiber & Dye Peach Flower Bunch Gift Tags - Retail Value $8

I needed a new notebook! And this one is so pretty! The gift tags are also really pretty. I think they would make any gift look really really special. Fiber and Dye is a Los Angeles based design studio that specializes in custom paper goods for everything from weddings to corporate branding.

Soy Candle in Magnolia (4 oz.) by Four Points Trading Co. - Retail Value $11.95

Magnolia blossoms are one of my absolute favorite scents ever! This candle smells amazing! And it does a pretty good job filling the room, too. Four Point Trading Co. is a husband and wife team in Sherman Oaks who started making scented candles to help lock in their favorite memories. What a neat idea!

Two Pack Sampler by Olive Alchemy - Listed Value $10

What a treat! In these two little bottles is an herb-infused olive oil and a white balsamic vinegar crafted by Olive Alchemy, a tasting room and retail store out of Calabasas, CA. The olive oil is so yummy! It has just the right amount of flavor to not be too overwhelming but still distinctly herbal. I prefer white balsamic over regular - it's just a bit milder and not quite as acrid.

Lavender & Lemongrass Moisturizing Cream by Crunchy Beauty - Listed Value $12

I do not exaggerate when I say that this moisturizer is divine, and I am so happy to have it! It's a cream, but it kind of has the consistency of a salve. It smells amazing too! Lavender is especially good for problem skin like my own. Artisan Miriam Mabrey founded Crunchy Beauty (Anaheim, CA) to ensure the availability of pure and natural skincare products.

Water & Wine Bottle Sac by Urbana Sacs - Retail Value $39

This is a really cool little sack! It is bigger than a wine or water bottle, so I'm thinking you could maybe carry two slim bottles in it. It's made out of this remarkable washable paper that feels kind of like leather. Although it is "paper," it is made of a unique blend of recycled fibers that allows it to maintain its composition (in other words, this is not disposable). Urbana Sacs was founded by designer Carolina Tombolesi in Los Angeles.

The Verdict: California Found has become one of my favorite subscription boxes! I can't believe that I got another box full of such wonderful goodness! The earrings were my favorite this month, but I honestly loved everything I received and will use it all! I also cannot help but notice the value of everything adds up to $122.95, which is way more than the promised value of $90, and the box costs only $49!!!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the May box. From California Found:

The oil and vinegar with butter lettuce was so yummy. I’m going to buy some more now. I need to convince hubby we need a road trip up north to buy at the store. He loved it so much too. And he loved the brittle last month. Wonderful box, wonderful subscription.

I wish I could see full spoilers before they sell out. I liked some of this months box, but the last couple of boxes were a miss for me. I can’t just hope there’s something good for $49.
