Enchantment Box “Blossoms and Butterflies” April 2018 Review

Here is the info sheet on the items in the box, along with coupons for the brands included.

Just look at Cornelius Cottonlashes eyelashes! A portion of the proceeds from each month goes to Enchanted Farm Sanctuary, which is an animal sanctuary for abused farm animals in Portland, Oregon. The rescued animals get to chill out with flower crowns and unconditional love with no fear of ever being abused again. I highly suggest checking out.

Emani Organic Soy Infused Mascara

Emani Organic Soy Infused Mascara, Full-size! Retail value $20

I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara! It really darkened and added length with a slight curl, and was super comfortable to wear with no eye irritation. It was also smudge and flake free! This is going to be my go-to mascara on days I don't feel like wearing a full face of makeup. See me wearing it below.

Breaking Beauty Cosmetics Eyeshadow,

Breaking Beauty Cosmetics Eyeshadow - Listed Value $8

I love gorgeous shimmer gold shadows like this one. It reminds me a more golden cousin of Nars Orgasm with the peach shimmer, and it was really pretty as an all over color. It was also super easy to pick up on the brush.

Here it is swatched.

Here I am with the mascara and eyeshadow. Once I swept on some lip balm, I felt polished and I headed out the door without doing anything else.

Hunnyhouse Market Solid Lotion

Hunnyhouse Market Solid Lotion, 114 g - Listed Value $10.50

Hunnyhouse Market doesn't have any solid lotions available for sale, but I feel like the listed value is a fair price considering other items from the brand. I love the peony and citrus of the lotion, however, because it is in a tin I can only get a tiny bit out at a time. This will probably be exclusively a hand lotion for me because it isn't worth the effort to get out enough to do my legs and arms. Other solid lotions I have tried come in no packaging, and I believe it is to avoid this issue. That being said, it is still moisturizing and I love the dried flower petals on top.

Jordan de Ruiter Butterfly Hairpin

Jordan de Ruiter Butterfly Hairpin - Retail Value $4.66 USD ($6 CAD)

This gorgeous hairpin both scares me and delights me. I am delighted by how beautiful it is, and the attention to detail in the design is top notch. It scares me because I worry my hair will eat this and then I will no longer have a butterfly hairpin (my curls get caught on everything!). I am going to figure out a way to wear this without my curls getting tangled in it because it truly is lovely.

Little Words Project Bracelet - Retail Value $22

I love the colors of this pink, lavender, and gold bracelet! I know from reading Ragan’s reviews that, other than the letter beads, the beads are bicones, and I really think hat shape helps with the light reflecting off for ultimate sparkle. The idea behind these bracelets is really cool, too!  The idea is to draw on the strength of whatever word is on your bracelet, and then pass it along to a friend who needs it more. You can register the bracelet by the number on the little gold tag, and then you can track where the bracelet travels to as it is passed from friend to friend. The hardware is 12k gold-plated, and the quality of the stretch bead feels high. Unfortunately, my wrist is a little too thick for this bracelet, so I will need to pass it off to a friend who can wear it.

Tipsy Gypsy Clothing Rose Water, 4 oz - Retail Value $16

This is your standard rose water with a hint of golden sparkle. If you like the scent of rose, you'll find this to be refreshing, a little hydrating, and fun. If you don't like the scent of rose I don't recommend spraying rose water on your face. Luckily, I like it!

Sugar Robot Edible Mini Butterflies,

Sugar Robot Edible Mini Butterflies - Retail Value $3.95

These gorgeous butterfly wafers are the perfect topping for any of your frosted baked goods, and I am all over that. If you've ever taken Communion, these butterflies taste like a thinner version of the host. It doesn't really have a flavor, but it isn't unpleasant to eat. I had a lot of fun eating a cupcake with some gorgeous butterflies, and it went really good with the next item:

Kipers Lil’ Tea Shop Blossoms and Butterflies

Kipers Lil’ Tea Shop Blossoms and Butterflies, 3 Tablespoons - Listed Value $3.10

So it just so happens that the other week I was watching Iron Chef Gauntlet, and one of the contestants had used butterfly pea flower tea in her cooking. I was fascinated by this gorgeous blue tea and started googling to try and find where I could buy my own. Then, I just so happen to get a box that has it in it! Isn't that a gorgeous blue tea? The flavor is a little earthy, so I used some sugar to sweeten things up. BUT, this tea does some really cool things when you add acid to the mix.

Here is a video of me pouring lemon juice into my cup of tea:

IT TURNS PURPLE, Y’ALL. THE TEA CHANGES COLORS.

This is exactly the kind of magical thing I want to receive in a box geared towards women who believe in whimsy and magical things. The joy I got from this color changing tea made me feel like I was a little kid. It’s the little things, guys!

The Verdict: I really, really enjoyed my first Enchantment Box! I feel, well, enchanted with everything about it! The gorgeous packaging was the perfect start (side note: I asked my apartment complex to stop writing my apartment number all over because it ruins the photos. Hopefully, they comply, and next month we can appreciate the rainbow unicorn box even more!), and I thought every item really fit the “blossoms and butterflies” theme. I calculated a value of $88.21, which meets their promise of having at least $75 in value in the box.

May Spoiler: Next months theme is Pink and Palm Trees, and I am so ready!

What a great box. I’ll have to keep my eye on it, especially with the upcoming Alice in Wonderland theme. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. Thanks for the great review, Jessica. I always enjoy reading your reviews.

I tried to go on the website to look for that tea to order, but couldn’t find it.

Did you put the eyeshadow on your lower lid also? There is a pretty sparkle on the inner corner lower lid and I’m curious how you did that? Great box but a bit pricey for me but I may just have to for next months theme!

Hi Kara! I used a fluffy brush with big sweeping motions, so I think a little bit of the eyeshadow got on the inner lower corner. Thanks for reading!

I’m seriously considering a subscription. I went to the website and saw that Junes box will be Alice in Wonderland.

What a fun, magical box! Somehow they made it magical, yet still adult friendly. Next month’s theme is intriguing, too!

Oh! I am sooo in love with that tea! I actually hater tea in general, but for that I am going to have to try it! I actually can’t find this tea in the shop, it looks like it is a special blend for this box 🙁 but they have a color changing tea in the shop. I guess it’s the butterfly pea flower that lends the color. DidnI mention I was excited about this? Thank you for the review!

Hello, this is Christina the owner of Enchantment Box. You must be mistaking our box with another company. Most of our boxes have a $80-$100 value every month! Thank you for your interest and have a magical day! 🦄

This just makes me want to say “Awww…” I love girly, useful, yet truly enchanting boxes like this one. At almost $60 with shipping, it’s an unfortunate pass for me though. Oh well – at least I have another box to add to my vicarious living subs 🙂

Hi the solid lotion was originally meant to be a beautiful butterfly shaped bar lotion that you could rub on your body. But temps in the South were too high to ship it without it melting, so they had to go with the tin instead. 😞

This is such a beautiful, joy filled box. I loved reading your review. This is one I might have to try at some point.

I felt so much joy opening this box and seeing all the lovely things inside! Glad that translated to the review. I really recommend this box- hopefully you get to try it out!

This looks good! Definitely interested. Also, you’re review made me laugh. I hope your hair doesn’t eat the butterfly! I have different hair issues, but I can relate all too well to the pain of trying to unearth something from your hair.
