Nanfeng Water Backpack

I couldn't find a reliable price online for this off-brand Camelback. It works just the same as the recognized brand—you fill the inner pouch with water, and thread the blue hose out of the backpack so that you can catch a drink when you're mid-run. It's pretty cool. The backpack is narrow, too, so it doesn't add much bulk to your back. There's space in there for other things, too, like keys or a squished up hoodie.

Assorted Minis Chocolate Bag, 11 oz. - Retail Value $19.99

I love getting chocolate in subscription boxes! This bag came with teeny, two-bite versions of Crunch, Baby Ruth, and Butterfinger bars. Crunch are my faves. I'm gonna keep these near my desk—they're the perfect size for satisfying my afternoon chocolate cravings without going overboard.

Garry Walton's Premiere 1000 Piece Puzzle

I couldn't find a reliable price for this puzzle online. The suitcase design is awfully tricky! It's been awhile since I've had a puzzle spread out on my dining room table, but I do love doing that—it's something to fiddle with that's not my phone when I'm nabbing a snack or entertaining friends!

Round Porcelain Canister Set - Retail Value $14.99

This was my favorite item from this month's box. This simple set of small, jar-sized canisters will look crisp and modern sitting on my kitchen counter. Each canister comes with a spoon, so I can presumably use these for things like salt, sugar, or maybe even different dried herbs. I love the wood accents—they complement the bright white of the canisters in a pretty, minimalist way.

monthly mystery box of awesome candle

monthly mystery box of awesome scented candle

Langley Home Holiday Classics Cranberry Apple Scented Candle, 2.5 oz.

I couldn't find this candle online, but it has a great holiday scent. Is that a great smell for the middle of May? Eh. Not so much. Luckily this candle is small enough for me to stow away in my box of holiday decor for next year!

The Verdict: My only real qualm with this box was the holiday candle, which felt a bit out of place for the season. But the other products were of decent quality and weren't anything that I had in my home already. I'm excited to have my own Camelback-style water backpack (I'm going hiking later this summer, so having hydration at the ready will be nice!) and the canister set will look great in my home. All in all, it's not a bad assortment for $24.99. The average price per item given the price of the box is $5.00, and the retail values I was able to find already add up to $34.98.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? There's no telling which random items you'll get inside this box, even if you sign up today. Subscribe now to get your own box of surprises!

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $24.99 (with free shipping). The items I could find values for added up to $34.98, which is already above the cost of the box. Going by the box cost, the average price to get each of the 5 products via the subscription is $5.00.

I just got a box from Mystery box of awesome today. I am very disappointed. I got a small cutting board and pair of star wars socks (which I’m ok with) and then a cup with a water filter thing to put on top and filter a cup of water. One cup at a time. I have no use for this. On their site it says incredibly easy to cancel but I find no way to. Any help would be appreciated.

That little set might work for cotton balls, Q tips, bobby pins, paper clips, push pins.

Also… does it say April 2018 for the best buy date on those chocolates?

Maggie

Indeed, it does.

The little serving jars are awesome for serving jellies, jams, sauces, honey, relish or other condiments.

The purpose of a canister or canister set for things like flour, sugar, coffee, tea is to create an air tight seal and keep the ingredients clean and fresh.

A set with a hole and a spoon can’t do this, thus, it’s not a true canister set but maybe a condiment set with the spoons and openings cut out of the wood.
The exception would be if an airtight set of lids was also provided, but this is not mentioned.

I consider this to be a complete failure of items touted as canisters. JMO, of course, but I’d either keep my food stuff in the original packaging or put it in something with an airtight lid.

Ah, didn’t even consider that, Mandy. The air-tight seal is definitely not there with these canisters. I’ll stick to using them for serving things, like Taren suggested above. Thanks for commenting!

I second this! It’s pretty, but useless.

I think all that tells me is to not shop at walmart for bags of chocolate Haha that same bag you put from target is $9.98 at walmart … maybe they have different pricing options but I didn’t dig all that much. The only reasons I can see for that back being $19.99 is because it is sold and shipped from an affiliate agency and there are two listings for this item at the same price with one of them specifying that it is a pack of 3.

Marie

Its $9.44 at Target too. I don’t see any 40 oz bags of chocolate for $5!
