Smartass and Sass is a monthly subscription box designed for gals with a sense of humor.
(NSFW FYI – not all the contents of the box may be suitable for viewing at work. Just a heads up!)
Each month, you'll receive 4-8 awesomely irreverent items handmade by artists and small businesses. The women behind Smartass & Sass might not take themselves too seriously, but they are serious about supporting the creatives behind the items in their box and paying a fair price for their quality goods. Smartass & Sass also offers a $15.95 Shirt-only Box and $49.95 Big Box.
This is a review of the $34.95 a month box.

Smartass & Sass April 2018 Review
Smartass & Sass comes with a booklet that has all the info you'll ever need about them, and the items in the box. Each month has an overall theme and this time it's "Everything Hurts And I Can't" which celebrates those of us who just don't have it in them sometimes!
"She Believed She Could But She Was Really Tired So She Didn't" Duffle Bag - Listed Retail Value $25.00
I can't help but kind of love this duffle bag. I tend to roll my eyes at a lot of the positive "Pinterest quotes" out there, but that's because I am bitter and jaded. This speaks to me since it's poking fun at all of those go-getters who have a "She Believed She Could So She Did" print hanging in their home or office. Don't get me wrong, being positive is awesome and recommended, but sometimes it can be a bit much. This duffle bag is 9 x 19 x 9" and has an outer pocket, zipper top, and sturdy canvas handles. It's a dark navy blue with natural cream accents and the quote is screened on with white ink. It'd be great for the gym, if you were motivated enough to go (not me), so I'll be using this to transport snacks from my kitchen to my couch before settling into binge watch some streaming TV.
Blue Q "Hi I Don't Care Thanks" Socks - Retail Value $10.99, Listed Value $9.99
I wish I had it in me to say the words from these socks out loud to some people when they start talking, but I was raised to be overly polite so these socks will have to secretly soothe me. I'm actually really familiar with Blue Q's sock line and own about 4 pairs already with various sassy things on them. I'm surprised it took Smartass & Sass so long to include them because they all perfectly embody the spirit of this subscription. The words "Hi I Don't Care Thanks" are woven into the socks against a cheering floral design and bright pink background. These socks are basically smiling as they deliver this short-tempered quip to those they wish to dismiss.
I Hate Everything by Matthew DiBenedetti - Retail Value $10.95 (found here for $7.42)
Ah- another book perfect for me. I do hate A LOT of things, so this chubby little gift book is right up my alley. The sarcasm begins immediately with the cover that is brightly colored with unicorns, rainbows, kittens, and other cute items that would normally be the antithesis of hate. The book covers so many random topics (complete with illustrations) that the author hates and many of us sympathize with. The page "I hate living with someone" right next to the one that reads "I hate being alone" really nails the sometimes contradictory aspect of hatred. Another hate-worthy experience? Selling things on eBay! For everything you hate, Matthew has got you covered.
Everything Hurts And I'm Dying Headbands, Set of 2 - Listed Retail Value $5.00
I don't work out, but if I did, I'd probably need headbands like this to keep my hair out of my sweaty tomato-red face. They've included two- a black and a hot pink - in the pack that says "Everything Hurts And I'm Dying" which is, of course, the theme of the box this month. These elastic bands are nice n stretchy but don't have grippies on them, so they slip right off of my head with much movement.
Rose the Riveter Bandages, Tin of 15 - Retail Value $5.95
The last item is actually pretty positive in comparison to the rest. It features Rosie the Riveter with the famous "We Can Do It" quote. Each bandage is a sturdy flexible plastic and features the iconic image of Rosie flexing her bicep from the war posters of WWII that encouraged women to volunteer in the factories and shipyards that produced supplies needed for the military. It comes with a little prize too- I got a squirrel temporary tattoo.
Verdict: Smartass and Sass reeled me back into their good graces this month with their delightful sarcasm and discouraging outlook. I think this box is one that perfectly encapsulates what this subscription is about and included some very useful items. I think I like the duffle bag and socks the best, but I'll be tucking these bandages away as well for future use. I also really like that they included fewer items with higher values than last month.
