Penny + Grace May 2018 Review
Here's the info card for the pack.
Rope Twist Stacking Ring - Listed Value $10.95
This size 6 ring is the first item that I've felt is just a bit too simple for me. It's pretty simple to this one that I got back in January. It feels... light to me, though it's not particularly fragile or anything. I think it'll look best stacked with other more statement-making rings. Or it could be worn alone when I'm just wanting the tiniest bit of shine.
Starfish Bracelet - Listed Value $24.00
I'm not much of a nautical fan. I'm not vehemently against it or anything, but it's just never been much my style. (Maybe I didn't spend enough time on the ocean as a kid, haha!) Long story short, I'm not super excited by the starfish motif. That said, the design is really simple and sleek, so it's probably the most me version of nautical jewelry that I'm likely to find, hehe. The bracelet is around 8" long and easy breezy to wear, given its delicate chain and featherlight charm.
Mast + Anchor Lariat Necklace - Listed Value $28.00
This necklace is a lariat style that's similar to the one I got in the February box. The anchor end of the almost 18" long chain threads through the wheel charm, so you can adjust the way it hangs and how short the necklace is on your neckline. Again, the nautical thing isn't quite me, but this necklace is so cute and unique that I might hang on to it and give it as a gift to someone who does like this aesthetic.
Here's what the bracelet and ring look like on.
And here's what the necklace looks like at its very longest.
The Verdict: This box wasn't quite my taste as much as previous ones were, but I can still appreciate the quality and creativity of the items included in the box. But for the ring, the pieces feel unique and modern. They kind of refresh the idea of nautical style, which can seem a little dated to me. These pieces were fresh and fun and great quality for the price point!
