SinglesSwag April 2018 Review

Each box comes with an information card listing the items included in the box as well as an encouraging monthly quote.

Naobay Deep Cleansing Milk

Naobay Deep Cleansing Milk, Full Size - Retail Value $20.58 (found here for $16.48)

This is a creamy, lightweight cleanser suited for the mature, dry, or sensitive skin. The cleanser is free from animal testing, aluminum salts, alcohol, silicone, paraffin, acetone, parabens and mineral oils. I used the cleanser for a couple of days and was pleased by how gentle it was and cleansed all the impurities, dirt, and makeup from my face. The anti-aging components included pumpkin, olive rice organic oils, and violet and lemon extracts. The cleanser is lightly scented possibly due to the various oils included. I’m incorporating more anti-aging products in my skincare regime, and I believe this product is a keeper, my skin looked refreshed.

Mollie Jacob Aztec Chic Cosmetic Pouch

Mollie Jacob Aztec Chic Cosmetic Pouch - Retail Value $26.00

This small zipper cosmetic pouch has Aztec prints and is ideal for storing my makeup, or accessories or other items. I tend to carry a lot in my makeup bag, and this pouch will fit about half of my items. I may gift it or store other miscellaneous items inside. I believe the material is vinyl, and while the print is lovely, the value seems rather high.

Here’s a close-up of the Aztec print, I love the design it’s mesmerizing.

LaRitzy Cosmetic Eye Pencil,

LaRitzy Cosmetic Eye Pencil, Full Size – Retail Value $18.00

I tend to wear black liner the most, so I was eager to try this out. The pencil has a crayon texture, and I had difficulty applying and soon gave up and wiped off what I applied. The eye pencil may work better for others plus, I’m not used to this texture of the eye pencil so that may have been the problem. I will attempt to apply another time.

Belgian Boys Stroopwafel,

Belgian Boys Stroopwafel, 2-pack - Listed Value $4.00 (buy a box of 15 for $19.35)

I had received the stroopwafel before as well as their liege waffle and both were delicious.

Its sweet, crunchy, and has a gooey caramel center. It’s suggested to cover a warm beverage with the Stroopwafel to get that melted caramel effect, which I did and the warmth of the caramel was divine.

Executive Society Trance Bracelet

Executive Society Trance Bracelet - Listed Value $58.00 (the Trance Bracelet in Black can be found here for $49.99)

This gold-plated cuff bracelet wasn’t on their website; I only found the “Trance” bracelet in black. The bracelet came in a small black pouch with the Executive Society symbol on the front, along with a coupon. The bracelet is adjustable, and it fit my wrist. I believe the measurements of the bracelet are 6.5” to 9”, taken from the info from the black “Trance” bracelet. This simple cuff bracelet will pair well with other bangle and cuff bracelets I own. I like to layer my bracelets, and this will fit in nicely. From Executive Society:

Awaken from the trance. Live your life in a constant state of reflection, and you will see past the veil. Discover hidden meanings, and the beauty life holds. Open your mind and enter a state of true mental, physical, and spiritual awareness.

Zoë Ayla® Oval Shaped Contour Brush

Zoë Ayla® Oval Shaped Contour Brush - Listed Value $40.00

I was unable to find this makeup brush on their website, so the value is based on the info card. The small oval contour brush has densely packed fine synthetic microfibers intended to give a more natural-looking coverage. The brush gave an even and smooth coverage, but the handle is too small; I felt like I was holding a kids toy. Plus, the value seemed a little high for this product.

E•Vulcano Hand Cream, 2.5 oz - Retail Value $12.00

This hand cream is rich, thick, and a little goes a long way. The volcanic minerals and Sicilian lemons gave my dry hands that needed hydration.

Verdict: The April SinglesSwag box was another winner. SinglesSwag is still my favorite subscription box! I’m always surprised by their curation and how they send the latest in beauty (items for my face and body), jewelry, yummy snacks and an occasional lifestyle item. The April box was an assortment of products for my face, hands, a makeup tool and accessory, and of course a yummy snack. I particularly enjoyed the Belgian Boys Stroopwafel and the Naobay Deep Cleansing Milk. This box has improved over the years and has stuck with brands such as LaRitzy where I have received an assortment of products from their cosmetic line. They send the most delicious treats, plus their monthly jewelry pieces have been lovely; but subscribers would like the monthly books back, maybe every other month rotating between a book one month and a jewelry piece the next. SinglesSwag gives out monthly spoilers on their boxes, so be sure to sign-up for notifications! This month’s box has a value of $178.58.

I got this box on sale. I pay approximately $28 monthly.I wouldn’t pay full price for it, though. The jewelry is always my least favorite item. I would much rather have a book or a candle.
