Sticky Kit April 2018 Review
Fuwamoko Cooking Mini Card
In addition to including several sheets of stickers each month, Sticky Kit always tosses in a non-sticker stationery item. But, like non-traditional stationery items that are usually adorably mini in size. This little card has the cutest kitties cookin' up a meal! It's similar in size to a card you might find in a bouquet of flowers, but of course, you can use it for whatever you wish.
Lollipop Stickers
Well, these are fun! I'm having a grand ol' time imagining what flavors these round and heart-shaped lollies might be. They're kind of tie-dye-ish, which I love. I'm going to a music festival at the end of the month, and I might just have to pack these along to share some smiles with passersby!
Children's Day Sticker
The little boy on this single sticker looks so happy and like he's having a blast. According to Wikipedia, in Japan, "Children's Day is a day set aside to respect children's personalities and to celebrate their happiness. It was designated a national holiday by the Japanese government in 1948." How awesome is that? It's celebrated on May 5 in Japan, so this sticker is timed well. I think I might give it to the little neighbor gal who sometimes checks in on our cat!
Carnation Stickers
These stickers may be Mother's Day themed, but most of them can be used for anything at all! They're carnations, bouquets, and bows. I had a cherry blossom sticker covering the camera on my laptop and it just fell off, so now I can look at a pretty carnation every day instead.
Diamond Stickers
I'm loving the rich tones and watercolor vibes of these gemstone stickers. They also have metallic gold outlines to them, giving a very fitting gleam. Usually, I'm more drawn to nature-inspired themes than flashy, blingy ones, but I'm so into the indigo diamond's colors that I am seriously considering putting it on my phone case so I can admire it on the reg. What do you think?
Aqua Design Cosme Stickers
The first time I laid eyes on a sticker sheet like this one was back in my February Sticky Kit. It's a mix of normal stickers bordered with long, patterned ones. They’re basically like little washi tape (Japanese paper tape) samplers, so you could rip off pieces of them and use them accordingly! Check out my April Sticky Kit Washi Tape review for some ideas on how to use washi tape. These strips and stickers showcase watercolor-painted beauty supplies like perfumes and polishes and bows. They have such a retro vibe to them, it reminds me of being a little girl and exploring my grandmother's dresser, which was topped with all this stuff. So nostalgic!
Gorogoro Nyansuke Laundry Stickers
These little kitty stickers might be my favorite of the month. The cats are so personality-filled and doing hilarious things with their laundry, like wearing shorts on their heads and wearing their suspenders on their ears and hiding in the laundry basket. Who comes up with these clever ideas? I want to meet that person before I die!
I Am a Kid Sticker Flakes
Sticky Kit also usually includes a set of sticker flakes, which are individual stickers instead of coming on a sheet. This set includes less than usual—only 6 as opposed to 40 or 50—but they're much larger than usual, too. They're patterned with kids doing stuff like doodling and singing and have metallic gold accents to them. I'm so smitten by the kids' little rosy cheeks! These stickers would make great bookplates, or I could also see you sticking them on a notebook or folder to write the subject on.
Verdict: This month, a ton of character shone through in the selection of stickers sent in my Sticky Kit! I loved the variety of themes, the bright colors, and especially the little critters and kids with fun expressions on their faces. This sub costs $14.99 ($12.99 a month + $2 shipping), and I received 5 sheets of stickers, one pack of 6 sticker flakes, one large single sticker, and a mini card.
