My son, Fox, is 2, very active, and loves discovering new toys! We both have been loving our Bluum boxes! Let's see what we received this month:
Melissa & Doug Shape Puzzle Board - Retail Value $9.99
I was just telling my husband how we needed to start working on shapes with Fox, so this came at the perfect time! Puzzles work really well for my son, it keeps his attention, allows him to interact with objects, all while learning something new. We have been playing with this puzzle board a lot lately, going over the exact shapes, and matching them to their correct spot. He already knows his colors, but we have been using it as a chance to go over colors as well. What a great toy that is also educational!
Giggle Wooden Push Car - Estimated Value $9.99
This wooden car is made by Giggle according to the tag, but I was not able to find this for sale online anywhere. So my price is an estimate based on similar products. Anything with wheels is a big hit for my son! He loves rolling around with his cars, pushing them around outside, rolling them down our driveway, or even rolling them down his slide. This toy has brought endless amounts of fun! It can be used inside or outside, and it is an easy item to take with you on the go.
SugarBooger Silverware Set - Retail Value $6.19
We were just having a family dinner at my parent's house where Fox needed to use a fork, but my Mom didn't have any toddler utensil sets on hand and I forgot to bring one. We have so many forks and spoon sets at home that once this beautiful case arrived I decided to gift it to my Mom to keep at her house for Fox to use. This set comes in a travel case which makes it easy to take with you or to keep safely in a drawer. The handles have retro-looking designs and cars on them, which Fox is absolutely obsessed with!
Itzy Ritzy Sealed Wet Bag - Retail Value $17.99
I never knew how badly I needed this sealed wet bag until now! We spend most days of the week at the pool now that summer is in full swing, and I am always fumbling with what to do with my son's swim clothes after I change him into his dry clothes before heading home. The lining of the bag is waterproof and wipes clean easily, plus the zipper closure makes it easy to just toss wet clothes in without worrying about anything leaking. The first day I brought this to the pool I just tossed his swimsuit in the bag, tossed it into the beach bag without anything else getting wet, and then set the bag outside to dry once we got home. No fuss, no mess! This bag is amazing and is going to be great to have all summer long.
Verdict: This month's Bluum was my favorite box in a long time! It was filled with so many items that I needed, especially the shape puzzle and wet bag. Plus, this month's curation felt much more age-appropriate than previous months, which I really appreciate. The total retail value comes to $44.16 (including my price estimate for the Giggle car), which is about $10 more than the monthly cost of the box. Not a huge saving, but I am happy with it since I loved every product this month.
