May 2018 Brick Loot Review

The April Brick Loot box was themed "Bust the Bugs" and features a few different bug builds!

Each delivery arrives with a card that details each item in your box.

Magic Butterfly - Value $15?

One of the bigger builds of the month is this 88 piece butterfly.

This is about the median build size for Brick Loot, in general.

This is designed by Ted Andes - the wing color by itself is such a great design.

Insects Mini Bricks - Value $5-10 each?

You'll get 4 bugs to build - Housefly, Dragonfly, Lady Bug, and an Ant.

As you can see, each bug it a quick build - only a few steps - and you'll have a bug to bust with this month's minifigure...

The Exterminator Mini Figure - Value $5-10?

The Exterminator has a bit of a sly smile going on as the bug bustin' is commencing.

It's a fun little design for the set - and can integrate nicely into the mini-city they've been helping you build all year.

RGB Flashing Brick - Value $5-10?

The last item in the box is a red/green/blue LED brick.

Use this flashing LED brick however you'd like - they mention popping it into your LEGO city or hiding it inside a building for some extra effect.

Verdict: I liked the minifigure in conjunction with all of the bug builds this month. While we didn't get any new building for our Mini City, I did like that they included the LED brick with ideas on how to include it in the Mini City.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You’ll find the current available theme in their top banner of the website.

Really cute box. I love all the bugs and the lighted brick. I had this for my 12 yr old son for about 6 months and took a break but we may have to resub. His birthday is in Aug so it would be a fun gift.
