Fair Trade Friday Earring of the Month Club April 2018 Review

These little cards were included in my box. They contain information about Fair Trade Friday and about Mercy House Kenya, Fair Trade Friday's parent organization.

Leather Earrings by 2nd Story Goods (Not available on their website)

What unusual leather earrings! I have received several items from 2nd Story Goods through Fair Trade Friday, and they really make such fun and funky pieces! I just wish these were not the exact same color as my skin. I think I would really like them if they were a different color. In any case, 2nd Story Goods is a charitable organization operating out of Haiti that provides artisans a living wage for their work.

The Verdict: I love my subscription to Fair Trade Friday Earring of the Month Club. This month's earrings are so different! I think the color will probably prevent me from wearing them, but these will definitely make a nice gift for someone. I also really like the charitable giving aspect of this subscription, it makes the earrings just that much more special!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, it looks like boxes are currently sold out. You will likely receive the June box. Order by the 15th of each month to get that month's box.

I think I will cut mine until a smaller, cuter pattern. These were very large on me!

Good idea!

I got the same earrings but without the ridges so mine look even plainer. I’m going to give them to a friend who has some leather tools to burn a design into them. 🙂

Ok that’s also a good idea!

Maybe you could paint them with nail polish, some kind of pattern or floral design.
