How pompous of people to put down other people’s opinion of what they like. Every single person has a right to like or dislike whatever that may be. there is no need to get on here and put down those of us that really like this happy Rebel box. if you don’t like it great, voice your opinion but there’s no need to throw comments around that those of us that like this are outdated or don’t get out much. I respect all views but I don’t like being insulted.

I really wanted to like this box and gave it a chance for a whole year. I eventually canceled after the Spring box which I thought was disappointing. I do not regret that decision. I know many of you really like this box so please don’t be offended. I’m only speaking for myself.

All I can say is WOW. This is hands down the best subscription box I have ever gotten (besides almost throwing my back out picking this box up off of my porch lol). Everything is so high quality and will add the perfect finishing touches to my home. I was super excited when Happy Rebel said they were doing a home decor box and it did not disappoint. Way to go Happy Rebel!

That’s at least 3 too many Knick knacks got my taste. I prefer to clutter my shelves with items that have meaning to me or my family…special treasures we have found on our travels. Those Home Goods style tchotchkes always make me think of a model home… pretty but no warmth.

As I scrolled I also thought, “wow, that’s a lot of knickknacks to collect dust on!”

I absolutely love this box!! I will use each item in our new home.

Donna

Wow…that was a year ago and I do not have any of these items in our new home. I gave them away in the fall.

I am so unhappy as I thought I ordered the gray boxes and they don’t have a record of it. I have some other things listed.

I got the box and I love it! The vase is gorgeous and my favorite item, but I also love the stars and the gold boxes. The urchin is sort of found everywhere right now and the glass sphere is cool but will be stolen immediately by my daughter for a magic crystal ball (which is kind of awesome too). Anyway, I loved it. This is my only box left besides Ipsy after my great culling and I’m so glad I kept it. Additionally, the charity speaks to me having had a battle with pregnancy loss myself. Customer service is great, they’ve stayed true to their brand and it’s not the same old same old (oh look, another Turkish towel, great, another pallet, whee, more highlighter etc). I love Happy Rebel!

My favorite was the vase too. Love it!

I’m happy to swap the globe…listing now. 🙂 This is my first HR box and I just cancelled. I totally appreciate them trying to get us to think out of our box, but this just didn’t cut it for me.

I really liked the box in person but wasn’t perfect for me. The vase is amazing. I think it looks way more expensive than its price. The boxes I love. I got them in gold. They are roomy and well constructed. I like the urchin. Of any piece that would be by description furthest out of my comfort zone but cool transistional piece. I like the stars but nowhere to go. Going to gift them to my sister in law. The only piece was the sphere. I tried to convince myself to like it. I tried it in many places in my house but just a no go. But otherwise I think it was a great and unique box.

I was surprised to see this an entire home box. I enjoyed everything but not all
To my taste. I loved the vase. Absolute favorite thing in the box and I think it looks way more than worth. The boxes are very sturdy. I really liked the urchin which surprised me. The only strike was the glass ball. I can see it working for others but for me not so much. It’s super heavy. Well constructed and I tried it in several places in my home because I wanted to convince myself to make it work but it didn’t. The stars I like but not with my decor but perfect for my sister in law. So using it as a gift. I really liked the box. Completely different but so much fun.

I actually like the glass sphere and am trying to work out a swap for one. Is it a mistake to jump on it? Should I wait until it becomes like the Dartington clock? Too late, I’m already working on a swap….

Katy

This is the first Happy Rebel box I have ever liked and wanted to buy. 🙂

Same! The stars are beautiful!

Miriam

They did say it was a home decor box so I think all of the items make sense. I canceled when the grey boxes sold out before I chose but then they added the gold ones which I liked even more so they had me. The boxes are beautiful and I love the vase. The urchin is cool and I think it will look really neat to add a little something to a gallery wall. I definitely don’t need any more knick knacks but I can’t resist them so I will definitely put the stars out. The only thing I don’t love is the globe because I’d want it near a window but I have kitties so that’s not an option. Overall I’m happy with the box and I think it was cool to get a full box of home decor.

Got my box today. You know what I do NOT need? Giant tacky tchotkes. Three out of the five items are just things to sit on a shelf, gathering dust. I really hope I can swap these for value. Happy Rebel is supposed to be about useful stuff, I hope this is a one-time misstep.

THIS ^^^ Thanks, Carrie for the most logical, honest comment on here so far!

I’m wondering if a lot of this subscriber base is that outdated or doesn’t get out much and realize how super cliche and cheap (or even tacky, as you said) these things really are? These are beyond clearance level at the discount stores, yet people are going to squibble over RVs in trying to swap them. Ridiculously inflated RVs. Don’t be duped, people.

And to present them all together as such reads that they got a big blind liquidation lot and are clearing it out to the less that up to date eyes,.

ALL of these decor “trends” (ugh) are very outdated and scream tryhard. Not cool.

I work in the design field and love home decor and am always interested in the home decor/lifestyle boxes, but to present so many random “things” ALL at once, unless you have a completely stock, presently unclutterred model home, where you can seriously spread them out, it really does come across as meaningless dust collecting tchochkes.

Yikes…. somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning…

Emi’sMom, I encourage you to consider ways of sharing your opinion freely, without personally attacking those that feel differently than you. I love this box. I do have a fairly serene and edited home with a neutral color pallet, metallics, and a lot of white. This box fit perfect in my aesthetic, and if I say so myself, I do not feel like that makes me “not cool”, “easily duped”, or have “less than up to date eyes” (never heard it phrased that way before, so that was fun) etc. I think these items added the perfect finishing touch to a couple of spaces in my home that were lacking a little something extra. The vase I will be gifting as I have a friend I know would LOVE it.

I also work in the design field, love home decor, and follow other home decor subscription boxes closely, and this is the best home box curation I have seen (in my most humble of opinion, of course). If you feel like this collection is outdated and tacky, you can scream that from the rooftops, but there is nothing productive about trying to make others feel bad about their style choices. Personal style is what makes someone happy.

I hope everyone that receives this box feels happy and confident in their choice 🙂

gcc

YES… I don’t know what happened with this box but usually there is a variety of things with the theme (home), but instead this is just things to sit on a shelf and dust… There are a lot of other items that could work, something to hang on the wall, a clock, pillow, candle, throw rug, frame…

As someone else mentioned, I cancelled when the gray boxes sold out so quickly, didn’t want the white, but when the gold came out, I resubscribed. Now I wish I hadn’t. Crap.

My tracking number shows no movement since the 14th.

I adore everything in this box, but it doesn’t make sense to me, nor does it seem like a good value. If this were $50 I would absolutely buy it, but that’s a bit silly for a box of decor.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

The items are really unique for a sub box, but also kind of look like things I could buy at TJ Maxx. I think HR usually does such a great job with curation, but besides the boxes and the vase nothing in here seems particularly…useful. Maybe a candle or a plant would have made me feel differently.

Lisa

I really like this box! It’s unusual to find a box with just decor/home items. These are unique and fun items. Good job Happy Rebel!!

Reply ButtonReply

Gillian

Great vase but other than that looks like a lot of chatchas.

Reply ButtonReply

HeatherG

I’m curious what is chatchas?

Reply ButtonReply

Miriam

I think she meant chatchkas (or tchotchkes). it’s a Yiddish word for knick-knacks.

LB

Right. The case and box I guess serve a function but everything else just seems like random decor which would look like clutter in my already cluttered house. It seemed odd to me that there are so many “trinkets” in one box when usually the items are more funtional.

I really like this box! I changed to the gold boxes once they became available and the are so pretty. I usually chose things that are silver but I am happy I went out of my comfort zone.

the home pieces remind me of the decor of the scarface house

Omg this made me laugh!

That vase is gorgeous!!! Only thing I like though, so 100 dollars for the box wouldnt be worth it.

I skipped this box and am glad I did as I’m trying to cut back on this type of stuff, however, I LOVE that black vase. It would look amazing on my desk at work.
