That Daily Deal is a site for daily flash sales at deep discounts. They also offer three subscription boxes, the Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter, the Mini Mystery Box by Jamminbutter, and Peaches and Petals. The super-random assortment of products in these boxes are a true surprise. You always end up with something unexpected.

This is actually my first time reviewing this box and checking it out in person – I feel like this is a milestone for me as a reviewer! 😉

Monthly Mini Mystery Box by Jamminbutter

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

This review is for the Mini Mystery Box by Jamminbutter, $9.99 a month, box.

Info sheet Info sheet

First up: This box includes a kind of funny take on an info card that has a few puzzles and word games.

Grab bag deal Giveaway deal

There's also a card advertising that you can opt-in to receive texts in order to get a free mystery grab bag! Not gonna lie, I'm tempted to see what might be inside. Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter also runs giveaways every month on their social media channels, like this one for a free robot vacuum cleaner!

Finally, we have a postcard for Pet Treater and 13 Deals, which are owned and operated by the same company.

Star Wars BB8 Socks

Star Wars BB8 Socks

First up in my first ever Box of Awesome, a pair of Star Wars socks!

Star Wars BB8 Socks

This design featuring BB8 is probably from a few years ago, but at the rate that new Star Wars movies are coming out these days, there are a lot of opportunities to show them off.

Star Wars BB8 Socks

Funnily enough, I noticed Anna received orange and black socks in last month's box too– is this a trend?

Star Wars BB8 Socks

We are Star Wars fans in our house, so this first item is a checkmark in the "win" column.

Glow In The Dark Rope

3/16" Glow In The Dark Rope, 50' Length

I definitely did a bit of a "huh" to myself when I pulled this out of the box. This is the kind of thing I feel like I randomly need (like to keep my trunk closed when hauling bigger items home from Home Depot), but never have.

Glow In The Dark Rope

The fact that it's glow-in-the-dark makes me want to use it for something cooler, though. Seriously, I'm tempted to DIY a macrame plant hanger!

Glow In The Dark Rope

I bet I could think of a few other fun ideas for this, too, but for now, it'll probably go in my trunk in case I need it. Value-wise, I found some of this same type of paracord on Amazon for around $8-10 each– not sure if this kind of rope might be available in local hardware or outdoors stores for less, though.

LED Headlamp LED Headlamp

Finally, this last item is a big win: an LED headlamp! We already have one of these at home that my husband uses surprisingly frequently for DIY projects around the house; it will be nice to have a second one handy.

LED Headlamp

These are more affordable these days, so I'm not sure what the value on this one is specifically (I'd guess around the $5 range based on what I've seen at Home Depot, although there are certainly much nicer and fancier ones on the market too). But being able to go hands-free when you're dealing with electrical or plumbing or insulation in a tight spot is really life-changing for anyone who works on home updates at the same rate we do!

This did not include batteries (it needs three AAAs) so I haven't tested it out yet, but I'm confident we'll use this. That's another check in the "win" column!

The Verdict: For being my first time actually checking out the Mini Monthly Mystery Box by Jamminbutter, I was kind of surprised that none of the three items I received were total duds– and honestly, the last two will definitely get used in our house, one way or another. Seems like the quality and usefulness vs novelty of the items included can definitely vary from month to month, but for $10 it's not a huge risk.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can always sign up, but what you'll get in your box is totally random!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $9.99, meaning the average price I paid for each item is $3.33.

Like you said, these LED headlamps are surprisingly useful around the house! You can even use one when you need to examine a bump/rash/cut/whatever on any area of your kids’ bodies. Hands-free spot lighting is always a winner. I laugh so much at “American Pickers”, as they are shown trying to trawl through a roomful of stuff with just one hand while the other holds a flashlight. I guess they haven’t heard of these head lamps.

I am 99% sure those BB-8 socks are Loot Crate overstock.

Lol yes that’s what it looks like. I think I’ve gotten about 3 pairs of those free from loot crate for sorry items. Lol they have so many of those socks and the hans solo fig that they are probably giving them out to third party vendors at steep discounts.pennies worth just to get rid of them and relieve their warehouse of so much unwanted stock. They must be swimming in them.
