I also got some promo information for some other subscriptions that are run by this subscription's parent company.

EnduraCool Cooling Towel - Retail Value $14.99 (Found here for $11.99)

Run this towel under water and it supposedly holds the cool feeling for longer than a typical towel might. It also works as a regular old towel for drying off after a hot yoga class or gym sesh. My partner and I have a few of these cooling towels in the house and tend to use them less for workouts and more as a way to cool down on super humid summer nights!

Toilet Golf

Hooooooooo boy! I never really understood the appeal of these kinds of games. I don't know if that's a compliment to my digestive system or a sign that I don't know how to savor that alone time...? Aaaaaaanyway, I don't see myself getting a ton of use out of this kit, but it'd sure make a fun gift for a golfer.

Sweet Dreams Journal and Eye Mask

I like the pairing of these two bedtime items into one gift. The silky eyemask isn't the greatest quality, but it'll do in a pinch. And I think it's cute that the band doubles as a way to hold the cover of this blank journal closed.

3 Royal Sport LTD. Whey Protein Packets in Mint Chocolate, 1 serving each

I couldn't find a packet version of this product online. I'd not heard of this protein brand before, but I also don't typically shop for whey protein. According to the package, it's gluten, yeast, wheat, and filler free. I think the strong mint aspect of the rich chocolate flavor helps cut the artificial sweetener taste.

Poptaters Mr. Potato Head Breaking Bad Figurine - Retail Value $23.99 (Found here for $7.88)

So... I've never seen Breaking Bad. I know, I know, I hear it's so good! But I can at least appreciate the quirky, silly fun that is this Mr. Potato Head figure! I feel like I'll keep this as a future gag gift for a BB fan in my life.

The Verdict: I personally wasn't feelin' this month's box. I think the quality of the items is consistent with what this subscription usually offers, but I tend to have better luck getting at least one thing that I really find useful or fun. This month, everything was just a little off for me—whey protein tends to upset my stomach, so I don't really use it, I already have some cool towels of my own, I don't really know much about Breaking Bad, and the toilet golf... well... that's just not my thing, haha! I'm constantly journaling/listmaking, so I might hang on to the notebook for that purpose, and the eyemask will be fine on plane/car trips I have coming up this summer. But it definitely wasn't a wow. That's kind of the nature of this subscription, as I've come to understand it—there's usually some fun stuff in there, but you have to come to expect some misses along with the hits.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? There's no telling which random items you'll get inside this box, even if you sign up today. Subscribe now to get your own box of surprises!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $24.99 (with free shipping). The two items in the box that I could find online have a total retail value of $38.98. The average price of each item via the box is about $5.00.

This might be my favorite curation ever from this sub. It’s just so random and delightful and funny!

The perfect use for toilet golf – colonoscopy prep! Just went through it. A little golf distraction might have been helpful. Otherwise, not feeling it.

HA! I don’t think there’s any BETTER occasion for a little distraction! Congrats on getting through your colonoscopy, and thanks for your comment, Michele!!!

Junk. All of it except the towels and I’m assuming they aren’t top notch either.

The golf and Mr. Potato Head would make great White Elephant gifts at the holidays….

That’s exactly what I was thinking!
I am tempted to get this box just so i have a stock of white elephant gifts. 🙂

That’s not a bad idea! There’s usually at least one or two items in each box that would make for quirky, fun white elephant gifts, if not great stocking stuffers 🙂
