Marajó – Deep Treatment Butter – 5.3 fl oz-

Marajó Deep Treatment Butter, 5.3 fl oz Full Size! - Retail Value $29.00

This deep treatment butter for my hair is good for straight, wavy, curly, coiled, and tightly coiled hair. It intends to hydrate dry hair, improve hair damage, and add shine. The deep treatment butter is free of parabens, SLS, and SLES. My hair is in a protective style now; I will use later. The product seems to be a hit with Sephora users, and it gave their hair volume, moisture, and softness. From Sephora:

This luxurious butter cream contains a rich blend of pracaxi oil extract, the miracle oil from Brazil, combined with strong antioxidants and emollients to help protect and add moisture to dry hair. The lightweight, non-greasy formula won’t weigh hair down but leaves it hydrated, soft, shiny, and full of volume.

Sol de Janeiro Brazillian Bum Bum Cream, 2.5 fl oz - Retail Value $20.00

I have seen amazing reviews about this product, so I was curious about its effectiveness. I only used once and it was creamy, not greasy, and the smell was nice. I couldn’t detect what the scent reminded me of it says the addictive scent is pistachio and salted caramel. The cream is fast-absorbing and intends to tighten the appearance of my skin visibly.

From Sol de Janeiro:

Pronounced “boom boom” in Brazil, the bum bum is a nation-wide obsession. It’s ALL about the booty, which is why Brazil has the smallest bikinis and best-fitting jeans. But beautiful Brazilian bottoms have a secret—a cream, created with caffeine-rich Guaraná. Together with our Brazilian Beauty Blend of Cupuaçu Butter, Açaí Oil, and Coconut Oil, our Guaraná-infused Brazilian Bum Bum Cream will significantly smooth skin's texture, taking posteriors to a sexy, positively pinchable level.

Enclosed in this month’s box is an informational card about the cream and on the back of the card a discount code to receive 20% off your order on their website.

Pūrlisse Coconut + Rice Nourishing Sheet Mask

Pūrlisse Coconut + Rice Nourishing Sheet Mask – Estimated Value $6.00 (buy a 6-pack for $36.00)

I love sheet masks. I was happy to receive two sheet masks from Pūrlisse. The first mask is a moisturizing and smoothing mask infused with coconut, rice, and restorative Asian botanicals. The coconut intends to lock in moisture, and the rice intends to brighten and give me younger and fresher skin, which I’m always seeking. The mask is best for dry/combination skin.

Pūrlisse Green Tea + Vitamin C Brightening Sheet Mask – Estimated Value $6.00 (buy a 6-pack for $36.00)

The second mask, a green tea, and vitamin C sheet mask I already have and decided to use it since I would still have the one from this box for my next mask day. The mask felt cool on my face when I applied to my skin, the mask fit snuggly around my face and didn’t slip. It had the right amount of essence and no excess left on my skin after I took the sheet mask off. I left the mask on my face for twenty minutes and after my face felt moisturized. The recommendation is when removing the mask to let my skin absorb the essence by gently massaging my skin, which I did. The mask infused with green tea, ginger, and Asian botanicals are best for all skin types even sensitive skin. This mask intends to even my skin tone, while the green tea improves elasticity, vitamin C brightens, smooths, and firms my skin, and the lemon infused in the mask brightens as well.

Nomad Cosmetics - Marrakesh Intense Eyeshadow

Nomad Cosmetics - Marrakesh Intense Eyeshadow, Deluxe Size - Listed Value $6.00 (buy a full size for $12.00)

The color is gorgeous and has a nice shimmer. I’m not one to wear makeup, but this color is pretty and I may save for a special occasion.

From Nomad Cosmetics:

Intensely vibrant and buttery eyeshadow infused with Argan Oil to help smooth lids for crease-proof and long-wearing color. A light brown shade inspired by the vast desert of Sahara that waits just beyond the Atlas mountains.

  • Free of Parabens, Phthalates & Mineral Oil

  • PETA Certified Cruelty-Free & Vegan

Here is a swatch of the eyeshadow in desert sands, a copper shimmery finish.

RK by Kiss All Over Glow Bronzing Powder, Full Size! - Retail Value $3.99

I’m not one for wearing makeup, just mascara, lipstick or lipgloss, so when I saw two makeup products I was not impressed, but that changed with this product. This bronzer is great it gave me the glow I needed, and I loved the results. I applied the bronzer to my forehead, bridge of nose, cupids bow, jawline, and cheekbones. This bronzer is SPF-infused and for an all-over body glow. The bronzer is the perfect product for the summer months.

Here’s a swatch of the bronzing powder.

The Verdict: This month’s box has a value of $70.99 - a good deal for a $25 a month plus free shipping, but the value is slightly lower than previous months. This month’s box preps me for the summer with the bum bum cream, all-over body bronzer, and the facial sheet masks. I tried a new product that’s a hit in the beauty world, which I like when subscription boxes include a cult favorite. I look forward to using the bum bum cream to smooth and firm my skin. I have been using the Bum Bum cream from Boxycharm and I don’t get it. It does nothing visually for my skin, the smell is ok and as a moisturizer it works but so do a million other less expensive products. I was really expecting something amazing and I just don’t understand the hype at all.

Ditto, outside of the scent (which still smells like cupcakes to me)..I don’t see the draw.
Great review, but that “bronzer” is definitely a highlighter for you. It’s a little odd that they’d include that particular product as it doesn’t “bronze” on deeper skin tones.
All in all, I enjoy your reviews and look forward to the next one!

Another great month! Looking forward to getting this. I love Purlisse sheet masks and everyone keeps talking about that bum bum cream so I’m excited to try it.
