PinkSeoul Mask Box May 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
Here is the info sheet detailing the products.
Leaders Shining Shield Gold Foil Face Mask – Retail Value $5
I got the Aqua Shield gold mask in the April box, and I am really happy to get the same mask in a different version. It fits well and the gold foil keeps the mask from being drippy while my skin still soaks up all the mask goodness. Plus, I get to feel really fancy wearing gold foil on my face. Wins all around!
Hyggee All-In-One Wrinkle Care Mask – Retail Value $5
This mask fit to my face well and didn’t slide off even when I was standing and walking. My skin absorbed all of the mask essence quickly, too, so my skin wasn’t left feeling sticky.
Manyo Factory Bifidalacto Intensive 10x Wrap Mask – Retail Value $6
This box is my first introduction to the brand Manyo Factory, and I don’t think it is my cup of tea. I was excited because this mask is a two-piece hydrogel mask, and hydrogels are my favorite! The bottom half off the mask fit really well, but for some reason, the top half was very ill-fitting—to the point where I had to take it off after a few minutes because of how uncomfortable it was. This mask also had a slight chlorine smell, which isn’t exactly my jam.
Manyo Factory Ultra Moist Rebirth Ampoule Mask – Retail Value $5
Unlike the wrap mask, this mask fit my face really well. Like the wrap mask, this had a faint chemical smell that my brain classified as chlorine. I don’t understand why there is such a chemical tinge to the scent of these masks. I also don’t know who thought naming a mask “moist rebirth” was a good idea.
Manyo Factory Aqua Bonding Cream Mask – Retail Value $5
At this point, when I opened the mask and found it smelled like the other two Manyo Factory masks I didn’t even wear it. While the chlorine smell isn’t very strong, I just don’t get down with continuously putting on face masks that smell like pool chemicals.
Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask in Acai Berry – Retail Value $2
Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask in Bija – Retail Value $2
Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask in Pomegranate – Retail Value $2
This mask unfolds really easily, however it is so thin that when I tried to reposition it on my face after a few minutes it ripped. These masks made for a comfortable and relaxing 20 minutes, other than the ripping snafu with one of them.
Goodal Infused Water Mild Sheet Mask in Tea Tree – Retail Value $3
Goodal Infused Water Mild Sheet Mask in Lotus – Retail Value $3
These two masks are pleasant but basic. They were scentless, but they were soothing to my skin. These are the masks I would give to someone with sensitive skin who is new to the sheet mask game as an introductory mask.
Etude House My Beauty Tool Hair Band – Retail Value $5
This hair band fits my head comfortably to keep my hair out of my face without being too tight, and I absolutely adore the cat ears. This was this month’s accessory item across all three boxes this month.
The Verdict: Opening a box full of ten masks is always a bit overwhelming, but broken down over the course of the month, that is a different mask every three days. The Manyo Factory masks were a bit of a bummer, but at least now I know it is a brand that isn’t for me. The rest of the masks I enjoyed, and I thought the bonus was really cute. I calculated a value of $43, and I am happy with that in a $29.95 box that doesn’t promise a retail value.
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The May box is no longer available, but you can subscribe to the July box here.
