Pink Seoul Plus Box May/June 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
Here is the info sheet detailing the products included.
Holika Holika 92% Aloe Shower Gel, 250 ml – Retail Value $12
How cute is this! This shower gel is 92% aloe, and the bottle is in the shape of an aloe leaf! This had a nice gel consistency that was thick but easy to spread. This also has cucumber extract in it, and the shower gel lightly smells of cucumber (which I love). This will be so soothing this summer when I get sunburned (I am considering putting it in the fridge for maximum cooling and soothing when I wash!).
Manyo Factory Blemish Lab Proxyl 5% AHA Cream, 30 ml - Retail Value $23
I have heard a lot of good things about AHA creams, especially in the Birchbox Acids and Vitamins Kit. This is the first time I have gotten a full-size version in a subscription box, and I am excited to see how this works with my skin with extended use.
Missha Triple Eyeshadow, 2 g – Retail Value $8
This eyeshadow starts off sheer and builds up to a lovely rose gold when all three colors are blended together. I swirled all three colors together when using it because the colors individually are pretty small in the pan.
Here it is swatched below my eyebrow pencil I received in the Pink Seoul Box (not to be confused with the PinkSeoul Plus box, which is this review).
Tony Moly Bunny Facial Mist, 60 ml – Retail Value $15
I received this in the Pink Seoul April Mask Box, and I am happy to have a second one. This is so cute and refreshing while adding a boost of hydration, and I know the perfect friend I want to give this to.
The Saem Snail Gold Bar, 100 g – Retail Value $11
Even though I am not a bar soap fan, I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t appreciate getting a gold bar in a subscription box. The ingredient list includes 24k gold, snail mucin, and olive oil—just your run of the mill ingredients, really! This lathered well and left my skin feeling clean but soft.
Etude House My Beauty Tool Hair Band – Retail Value $5
Pink Seoul is essentially a box of cuteness, and I am ALL about it. This hair band fits my head comfortably to keep my hair out of my face without being too tight, and I absolutely adore the cat ears. This was this months accessory item and I am happy to have it.
RE:CIPE Slowganic Sheet Mask in Grape – Retail Value $3
This actually smelled like grape candy and honestly that’s all you need to know. Awesome smell aside, this unfolds easily but doesn’t reach all the way around my face, so my cheeks by my ears didn’t get any grape goodness. Still awesome!
SNP Black Pearl Ampoule Sheet Mask – Retail Value $3
I got this mask in the Pink Seoul March Monthly Mask Box, and I am happy to see it again. This is fun to wear because the cloth is black instead of the usual white, and it fits comfortably without leaving my skin sticky.
The Verdict: This was my second month trying PinkSeoul Plus, and I think this was another winner. All of the products were cute, functional, and smelled tasty. I also really appreciate getting a box of mostly skincare that is designed specifically for my oily skin. This box promises a value of at least $80 and I calculated a value of exactly $80, which works for me!
