And on July 15th, you'll also get to watch a live tutorial for how to use these products to obtain "Glitter Eyes for Real Life!"

And you also get 50 bonus Beauty Insider points when you take this card to your local Sephora store:

Now, let's check out this fabulous bag:

Why am I so excited about a drawstring bag? Because it's made with magical mermaid sequin fabric! (The rose gold has a reversible silver side!)

So you can do fun things like this:

Then remove and start again:

This bag is seriously addicting to play with! But, it's probably time I get to reviewing the actual beauty products in this box!

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Kitten Karma - .88 ml Value $4.69

I'm obsessed with this product! First, Stila makes great long-lasting formulas (I use their liquid lipstick every day), and this is another formula that holds up for hours.

This color is a champagne with silver and copper shimmer, and as soon as it sets, it does not budge. The pigment and shimmer are incredible, and if you typically shy away from shimmer/sparkle eyeshadows because of the fallout issues, this is the eyeshadow of your dreams! (Plus it is so easy to apply with the built-in wand.)

(Swatched in lower photo.)

And here are the looks Sephora included for how to use this product:

Sephora Collection Contour Eye Pencil 12 Hour Wear in Black - .017 oz Value $4.25

(This is nearly half the size of the full-size version)

This eyeliner delivers all the necessities: glides on smooth, great pigment, and doesn't budge once it sets. Plus it has a matte finish. (Swatched in lower photo.)

And here are two eye looks using this eyeliner and the other eyeshadow products in this box:

Bite Beauty Prismatic Pearl Multistick in Rose Pearl - Estimated Size 2.2 g Estimated Value $11.12

I'm having a hard time reading the size on this label. Let me know if you can figure it out:

(I based the 2.2 grams on a similarly sized lip sample.)

This is a metallic rose with green and violet holographic shimmer. So basically, it is just gorgeous! Unlike the Stila liquid eyeshadow, this doesn't set immediately, so you can blend it out, too. The downside for that is that you will need a primer to keep this in place.

(And this is a multiuse product, so it can work as a lip topper, highlighter, etc., too!)

Here it is as an eye look:

And here it is swatched beneath the eyeliner and the Stila liquid eyeshadow:

Benefit BADgal Bang Mascara – .1 oz Value $8

I’ve sampled this a few times in the past few months and it is officially my new favorite mascara – it made my lashes SO LONG!

I was surprised to see it doesn’t get only 5-star reviews on Sephora, but it seems like some people had issues with clumping. I didn’t apply enough layers to have any clumping issues, but I only needed 2 layers to have amazingly long lashes. I actually said “Wow!” out loud when I first applied this.

I think the trick is to go slow, let the formula somewhat dry before applying the second layer (if you need it), and make sure to remove any excess product from the wand before applying.

And this card included a cutout card to place under your eye when applying loose eyeshadow:

GrandeLash MD Lash Enhancing Serum - 1 ml Value $32.50

This is half the size of the full-size version! It alone more than covers the cost of the box!

I was so pumped to see this in the box, because I've used this before, and it actually worked for me! (I've always been skeptical of lash lengthening serums, but when I finally tried this one, I was impressed!) And this is a 6-week supply, so it should be enough for you to see results, too! (It's super easy to use - just apply it like you would apply liquid liner to the top of your upper lashes every night.)

And this card also includes instructions for application:

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Cream - 3 ml Value $7.60

This eye cream "targets signs of aging, reducing the look of dark circles while improving concealer application and wear—inspired by makeup artist secret, banana powder."

Well, I have pretty much the darkest under eye circles ever, so challenge accepted!

This formula has a light, citrus scent (which I love) and it felt hydrating and gentle on my skin. And I *think* I noticed a subtle highlight effect on my dark circles. Would I go out of my house without wearing concealer? Still a big no, but I'll take any small victories I can get in the battleground that is dark circles.

This card includes some tips for extra + best uses of your eye cream:

Verdict: This box has a value of approximately $68.16 - and that's not counting the sequin bag I'm obsessed with! I think this is a great deal for $20 because every product is wonderful, and it's a great way to try out some new eye looks, too.

What do you think of the Play! Smarts Glitter Eyes for Real Life box? Are you going to grab one?

Jamie

They’re supposed to be going out monthly.

I thought I had missed out on it because I didn’t order it on the app yesterday when I saw it ..but then sephora sent me a link to order it today so I was in luck! But it makes me wonder if the sales yesterday weren’t as good as they had hoped, lol!

That bite beauty multi is 2.1g, according to my similarly sized multi from a set. So you’re pretty much right on at 2.2.

Thanks for letting me know! Glad to hear I was close! 🙂

Daisydukes56

Not worth the price to me.. I got most the stuff already as free samples.

KimberlyB

Woohoo! A bag I can get behind — especially that bag, I’ve been wanting some of that reversible sequin fabric!

Reply ButtonReply

cassandra

i love that mascara! best one i’ve tried in months, better than MAC or Lash Paradise, better than Dior!

Reply ButtonReply

Caressa

Does anyone know if they r going to have more bags. I was looking forward to last years I didnt get to get. They case looked so nice and the laMar face lotion. Also all the stuff was full not half full..

Reply ButtonReply

Julie

I ordered without knowing what it was — they had me at glitter!

Reply ButtonReply

Anieke

You kidding me right? Ugh. That does not worth $20. Although the bag is cute I’d never use it.

Reply ButtonReply

Daisydukes56

I agree it’s not worth $20 to me.

Reply ButtonReply

Caressa

That is crazy for 20 I think. That should be 15 bucks at the most. I spend so much there but they dont give back. I thought about going to birchbox..

Reply ButtonReply

Caressa

If I didnt split it I would use more but I have that eye color and I dont wear black eyeliner omg I have so many never opened. I’m scared to use the eye serum bc of what it can do, like make dark eyes and I have spend to much time and money to get my eyes light C tango isnt a joke. I wish every bag was this good they could take out the eye serum and do that to everyone. Do u know if we still get a bag for July.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Yes, you will get a bag in July. 🙂 This bag is a one-time purchase, and is separate from the monthly subscription.

TheGirlWhoLived

I am undecided! I want it but do I need it lol. I gotta think a little more today.

Caressa

Okay let me know and I’ll give u my email I dont think u can PM on here. What do u need from it.. I have alot to swap but I cant find anywhere to swap on here so I just do it on fabfitfun

Crista

If you have a Facebook account there is a boxycharm or Ipsy trade Facebook page where all of us share and trade our stuff it’s called Ipsy / boxycharm or something like that but I don’t think there’s very many on Facebook so

Kristine

Just an FYI…you can buy it today on their app. It says 24 hour exclusive on their app. I picked up two. I’ve done latisse and this serum works just as good. Super excited to try the stila glitter. I’m 48 and I to get compliments when I put a little sparkle on my eyes. Never too old to show some glam.

Reply ButtonReply

Teresa

Have they sold out of this already? I see it on their website, but no option to buy it!

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

today it’s exclusive in the app only. I just checked and it’s in stock.

Reply ButtonReply

Shawna

I was able to order it from their site today. Weird.

Jraewebb

Why don’t they put items like this in their monthly boxes?! Would love to get the Stila or the lipstick in my monthly Play box!

Reply ButtonReply

Marjo

Right! I just canceled my playbox today. Too many repetitive items. I joined boxy charm and allure.

Reply ButtonReply

Natasha

I have allure and boxycharm too, and also do IPSY. I didn’t think I would like allure, but it was been pretty amazing. Boxycharm is always an incredible value as well.

AmyM

Well darn it, Liz! I had no plans to get this until I saw your review. You literally made this look irresistible. That bag is so fun! I’ve really been wanting to try the Stila and Bite products and I always seem to have good luck with Benefit mascaras.

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

🙂 The bag is SO fun! And if you’ve been wanting to try the Stila and Bite products, I think it’s perfect! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

So glad I didn’t cave.
That’s not a high value considering the box is $20 not $10……
In the past there’s been limited edition boxes worth over $100!
I guess I’ll wait and see.

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie

I got mine before seeing wjat was in it bc the bag is everything! Plus the brands suggested to be in it were also amazing lol. I’ve never tried any of these except for the bad gal bang and I don’t like it at all! Luckily I’ve recently been approved for the swap site (Yay! It’s been a long wait!) so I have a chance to switch it for something I like more. Been dying to try a Stila g&g, the Grande lash booster (OMG so excited for that!) & the OH eye cream! The bite multi atick i hadnt really been interested in before but I’m not mad abt at all. The only thing I’m a little bit, and only a little bit, sad abt is the Sephora eye pencil and the reason is bc the color. It’s a glittery, flashy, show-offy, glitzy box and they gave us what color? Black. The attached card clearly shows a range of available colors and I really wish they’d chosen one of those instead. Even a warm amber would have complemented the Stila g&g so much better imo. But black? The 1 color we all have piles of? It’s like Stila: wow! Grande: wow! OH: wow! Basically the whole dang thing including the bag: WOW!!!! Then the 1 Sephora item to represent everything their in house brand had to offer: womp womp.

Otherwise I think this is friggin stellar! A++ Sephora!

I got this box after seeing the review. I like the bag most:))

Liz, did the eye serum make your lashes fall out after you stopped using the serum? I heard that happens with some products like that.

Reply ButtonReply

Andrea

I used this serum for awhile and LOVED how long it made my lashes. But when I stopped using it, some lashes fell out, some kinda broke, and some were just puny looking. It took awhile for everything to grow back and fill in, but I did not see any lasting damage.

Reply ButtonReply

Kiales

I’ve used it off and on, and my lashes never fell out. When I stop using it, my lashes just slowly return to normal length.

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

I would get if the Grande Lash worked for me, but I got a full size in another box and it just irritated my eyes (red, bloodshot, itchy). I wish I could use one of those eyelash serums but they are so irritating.

Reply ButtonReply

Crista

I’ll tell you a cheaper alternative and it really works it’s cold pressed castor oil they can’t just be regular castor oil as to be cold pressed I use it on my eyelashes right at the root and my whole lash to condition it and I put it on my eyebrows everyday and let me tell you what you can see a difference within like 2 or 3 weeks of using it you’ll start seeing everything getting full you can get the cold pressed castor oil from Amazon and they have some for your hair in that definitely make sure hair full and thick if you have thin hair and it really works you just need to put it on scalp I’ve never could figure out why all these women were paying so much money for these eyelash serums when you can get a bottle of cold pressed castor oil that stuff some miracle when it comes to Growing eyelashes and eyebrows

Reply ButtonReply

Caressa

Oh thank you so much. Mine have always been long and full but I guess age and having a baby a couple years ago, omg and stress lol is making them fall out and also break off so I will look that up. Do u just rub it on or how do u do it? I couldn’t ever pay that much for eye serum. They charge so much and the side effects r not worth it to me.

LisaMarie

Off to buy cold-pressed castor oil, thnkx!!!!

Jacki

Grande make a brow serum also. But if the lash serum irritates your eyes, it will work its magic on your brows too!

Reply ButtonReply

Frances

I hadn’t planned on getting this box but will now just to try the Grande Lash. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $65 on the full size in case it irritated my eyes. I’ve used a couple of other lash serums before, Rapidlash which I had no issues with and Lashfood, which I found to have a peculiar odor and sometimes irritated my eyes.

Reply ButtonReply

LB

Somehow I’ve managed to not get a sample of that mascara in any of my subs (and I have quite a few). I’d love to try it but don’t need anything else in this bag so I’ll miss this chance too, I guess… Those Stila eyeshadows are incredible but a bit bold for my boring life. Haha.

Reply ButtonReply

katie

If I wore eyeshadow I’d be all over this one. Love playing with those sequins and I received that mascara in another sub and it is my all time favorite.

Reply ButtonReply

Angie

This makes me wanna buy Liz. Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Kearstin

Same. Sub boxes are seriously my worst addiction 😂🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle Bross

The only reason I’d get the box would be for the Still and the Ole eyecream. I don’t know…I’m almost forty (39) I probably shouldn’t be wearing glitter anyways. Pass

Reply ButtonReply

DawnS

Oh boy then I guess at 41 I shouldn’t? LOL! I always have highlighter and sparkle eyes, matte just make my lines stand out and sparkle make the illusion of smoother younger skin. Just my opinion but I am never giving up the sparkle!
Glad I already ordered and the bag should come tomorrow!

Reply ButtonReply

Cookie

You’re never too old for a bit of sparkle!

I would get this box but I have a million black liners, I recently bought the Bite product and i have that mascara. So basically I would be buying it for the Ole (which, I love Ole products) and the Stila (which looks gorgeous). I’m going to pass this time.

Reply ButtonReply

Kearstin

We should split it! I want the reddish green shadow and maybe one other product! I’m on the fence about getting it 😕

Tabitha

I’m 40 in August and I actually get the most compliments when I wear glitter on my eyes. I don’t go crazy with it like I did in my early 20s, but a subtle sparkle is so flattering.
