Hey does anybody know when the summer bix iss actually going to ship? Im realky annoyed because ive asked them twice and was told 2nd wk of June. Then i was told this past weekend. I have had not a single email drom them.
Im disappointed because MSA made them sound so great compared to FFF and Popsugar. My first box with them was the one with that apron. Honestly I only subscribed to that one for the necklace. They’ve had a lot of lame stuff in there except for home items, candles and jewelry items.
I was expecting more with the price increase, but am not seeing the brands they promised. Am not one to complain or be fussy but i wasn’t in the first group to get the best deal…I’m the group with the 2nd best deal.
Can forgive if they’re late once but 2x already late to ship? No excuse!
Sorry for my rant but this is frustrating! I want to like their box, their cause box was fab and the mens was a great gift fir my fiance but…?

I emailed them today. They said that the Home item was stuck in customs and didn’t want to wait any longer. They said we are getting a fashion item at a higher value, and that we will still get the home item as a bonus in the Fall box. They said an email will be sent to customers tomorrow. Some ladies are saying they already received their boxes.

I have the $48 subscription. After the fall box I’ll be dropping this box. Too much cheap jewelry & , paid up for a year make-up any more. Loved the lifestyle products, something useful is nice instead of a bunch more eye shadow that I give away.

This is a little confusing as the special edition box looks nicer/higher value so far than the one subscribers are getting. I am excited for the foot cream though, as I’ve been hoping a sub would put one in! The earrings are a big miss for me, but the Tokyomilk pouch is a cute one I have been eying.

I was just checking this box out yesterday and hoping that they held off on opening up slots until I got paid again, but nope lol. Just my luck hahaha! I’ve been dying to get the QoH palette, the earrings are gorgeous and even the bag is pretty, but my electric bill waits for no sub box!

Why aren’t all the comments posting?

I am trying to figure out how this is a nautical summer theme. The eyeshadows are pretty but don’t make me think nautical summer. If this is going to continue to be an expensive beauty box I may have to consider cancelling. I got this subscription because it was a lifestyle box, now there are 2 beauty items.

Jane

Interesting I just got my FFF and there was only 1 non beauty item? Not sure your point? FFF is a lifestyle too?

Reply ButtonReply

Kc

Exactly why I don’t get fff, too much beauty.

Deb

Could it be that some of us that are sub addicts have reached box fatigue? A lot of the complaints are petty.

PudgeKat

I canceled and they said that customer feedback after the last box was that they wanted more beauty and fashion accessories so they listened to the feedback that was given. I personally prefer items like the last box that I will use and more home items, but they can’t please all of us. Hoping they do more of a mix of items for fall so it’s not so beauty heavy. A little of something for everyone is the way to go.

Kelly

Seriously?? I’ll cancel too if they change to a heavy makeup box. That’s what I loved about Sugarbash was they DIDNT saturate their boxes with make up. I like home accent/accessories rather than make up and even jewelry. I have way too much.

Marie

That sucks. I liked the last box too.

Beccah

I’m mad I’m not getting the overnight cream! Really not a great decision to give a better box to New subscribers instead of current subscribers! I will most likely cancel after this box. FFF & Causebox are much better Imo!

I am not sure why this particular box gets so much hate for…running a business! I have been with them since the beginning. I am sure you got the Black Friday deal, that was the promotion for members. Like I said, how are they suppose to grow if they don’t offer a great reason to subscribe. FFF does this all the time, I don’t see as much hate for them.

Reply ButtonReply

Beccah

And FFF does not put out 2 boxes at the same time, one for new customers and one for current subscribers with the new customers getting a better box with better and more expensive items. FFF only costs $50 and you get more and better items.

Beccah

No I didn’t get the black Friday deal. That was for people who were already members. I pay $75 for each box and I am entitled to my opinion. I am also entitled to state my opinion.

Laura

The Limited Edition box seems to have better products than the existing member box. For example, the eye shadow palette for the Limited Edition box is 12 shades, while the palette for the existing members appears to only be 6 shades. Likewise, the Brevena product for the Limited Edition box seems to be a higher value product ($98 face cream vs. a $49 foot cream). As a long time subscriber and someone who has supported them all along, I have to say I am more than a bit disappointed with this discrepancy. This is traditionally not how Sugarbash has treated their long-term subscribers as opposed to their new ones. If this pans out as I fear it will, I may rethink my subscription. Too bad because I have always liked them.

Beccah

I feel the same way! Bad move!

It seems they are running promotions to attract new members. They are a business after all. All box companies do this. How else are they suppose to grow unless they offer a promotion for new customers?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Promotions are fine – offer a discount, offer a bonus product, etc. But most companies don’t just go straight for ‘offer a box far higher in value than the one members receive.’ FFF’s editor boxes usually aren’t obviously superior to the seasonal boxes – they just have a different mix of items. They might vary in value a bit, but not a lot.

By running a promo this way, it just sort of looks like the company is skimping out on what goes into current subscriber’s boxes in order to get more people to sign up – which is just as fast a way to lose current subscribers as it is to attract new ones.

Laura

I am not adverse to them growing their business. In fact, quite the opposite since a solid business model on their part assures their loyal customer (such as myself) a continued product. What I am unhappy with is the fact that they continually advertise their box as “sold out” and yet they are able to produce and advertise an almost identical box (for the same price as many existing customers paid) with a higher quality and/or box value. That is the fastest way I can think of to alienate your long term customers — treat them as less valuable despite many of them having paid a similar price for their product and having been your customers since the beginning.

They are walking a fine line between attracting new customers at the expense of losing many of their existing ones. It is one thing to offer an incentive to sign up (a special product or unique item or even a special introductory price). It is an entirely different matter to offer an almost identical box but with a much higher retail value to new customers for the same price that many of their existing customers have already paid. Subscription boxes are a “soft” item for all of us and one that is easily cut from our budgets. Couple that with the fact that the market is saturated with many similar boxes who appear to place a higher “value” on their existing customer base and Sugarbash is potentially going to drive business down rather than increase it with this “promotion.”

MzBev

I was about to sign up with them, the same week they closed new subscriptions and transferred to quarterly. $75 is over my budget. If they do another $50 sale (Like Black Friday, maybe?) I will get in on it then. So annoyed that right when I was about to sign up they made the changes.

It is funny, I received e-mail from them an hour before this post and the cost of this box was $80, now they adjusted it to $75. And it says you will pay this price of $80 for the boxes to follow. I guess it was another “glitch” of many, like canceling subs for people who gave negative review.

I just saw on other post that Susan from Sugarbash apologized and acknowledge the error.
I guess, I owe Sugarbash my apologies for the sour comment as well. I did not see Susan response before posting this comment.
Liz, if it is possible, could you please delete my previous comment. Thank you.

Funny, last week they told me they were wayyyy oversold and my cancellation helped them. It bothers me when boxes play the artificial scarcity game. I’m a hardcore FFFer and they even do it occasionally.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

But FFF never has a waitlist for subs, so not sure what you mean?

Reply ButtonReply

Leah

No I mean this last box (or one before? I’m addicted, it runs together) where they sold out and then opened it back up once there was hype around it. They usually don’t do that kind of thing.
