May 2018 BFF Super Geek Box Review

The May box moves away from the color themes and focuses on some best friends.

You'll get a card that includes the list of items in the box.

On the reverse side, you'll get a preview of the next month.

You can also expect a little button with each box - this month's pin goes along with the shirt design.

Han and Chewy Pocket Shirt - Value $15?

This month's shirt is a print of two pals - Han and Chewy.

There's not actually pocket here, it's just part of the print - I liked this print a lot!

Pokemon Hat - Value $10-15?

They've been sending a shirt, hat, and socks in most of their recent boxes - that trend continues this month with another hat.

Their hats feel like quality material. The graphics are always printed on - no stitching or anything like that, though.

Here's a closer look at that graphic.

Rocket Socks - Value $10-12?

The final wearable item is a pair of socks featuring one of my favorite Guardians.

It's a fun design that mimics Rocket's tail.

I pretty much assumed this would be a Rocket and Groot pair of socks due to the theme - but only Rocket can be found here.

Bonus

This is listed as a bonus item in the box. It's a small buildable figure - but I'm not even sure of the character - let me know in the comments.

Verdict: The box has shifted pretty heavily towards geeky wearables - so if you're looking for exclusive wearables, then this subscription is a really low-cost option. I'm getting a bit bored of the typical shirt/hat/socks delivery already - about 5 months into the new format - we'll see if it continues.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No - you can find the current month available at the top of their homepage. They are currently taking May subscriptions.
