You're Basically the Best Ever Book — Retail Value $8.95
I expected this to be a notebook, but when I opened it up, I found what looks like a pre-made bullet journal with all sorts of positive sentiments inside! Turns out this book is filled with research on the topic of happiness and has all sorts of spaces for you to contribute specifics about what makes someone you love so wonderful. The idea is to then give it to that person to make their day! Such a positive concept.
Delia Organics Bedew Masque With Organic Aloe Vera, Cucumber & Spirulina, 2 0z - Retail Value $18.99
Last month's TheraBox included a vitamin-enriched eye serum from Delia Organics and this month's offers a face moisturizer from the same brand. Similarly to the eye serum, this product is a lightweight gel that's meant to hydrate. Unfortunately, I think mine leaked in transit because the lid arrived a bit crusty and the container itself was less than halfway full. I wonder if the seal being broken compromised the integrity of the product; it has an oddly alcohol-y scent to it. Not something I'm eager to put on my face!
Renae Music's Align Album Digital Download - Retail Value $15.00 (Buy her CD for the same price here)
I'm one of those people who is constantly, ravenously seeking new music to delve into, so I love that TheraBox sent along a download code for an album from an artist I've never heard of. Renae's music is described as "pop meditation," which is a new concept to me. Once I gave it a listen, I realized that really just means pop music with a positive message. I might have preferred something a bit more mellow, but I'm always on board with a positive message!
Fashion Tats x TheraBox Geo-Turquoise Pack - Retail Value $16.95
Temporary tattoos have really turned a corner in the past few years. These metallic ones can practically be considered accessories! These designs are an exclusive collab between Fashion Tats and TheraBox. They include all sorts of gold, silver, and turquoise geometric bands, as well as a sheet of affirmation tats. They would be perfect for a music festival or a night out on vacay!
The Hippie Homesteader WAKE Essential Oil Serum, 10ml - Retail Value $10.00
I have become quite familiar with The Hippie Homesteader's roll-on essential oils and this is one of my favorites so far. Its blend of grapefruit, orange, frankincense, and ginger scents culminate in a very uplifting aroma. Rolling this on your temples, neck, and/or wrists in the morning is a great way to start your day with a positive energy.
Natural Annie Face Wash, 2 oz - Retail Value $16.50 (Found here for $15.50)
Mmm, this face wash smells so good and citrusy! It's made from a simple blend of Castille soap, distilled water, and essential oils including lemon, calendula, and rose. If you've ever used Dr. Bronner's, you know that Castille soap is rather thin and doesn't suds up too much. That's definitely the case here, but it still left my skin feeling fresh and clean.
Body Stuff Organic Travel Soap Tin, 1 oz - Retail Value $10.00 (found on sale here for $8.00)
I've never seen anything like this soap tin, but it's so clever! Body Stuff has collected shavings from their artisanal soaps—just enough per shaving for a shower or two's worth of use—so that when you're traveling, you don't have to figure out what the heck to do with a slimy bar between bathing. Super outside-the-box idea! And they smell truly amazing in a neutral, earthy kind of way. There are about 9 shavings of various sizes in my tin, but Body Stuff's website sells refills. I love this zero-waste solution to a very unique problem.
Sincerely Different Lavender Whipped Hand Cream, 2 oz - Retail Value $11.00
This thick, whipped hand cream is exactly what I'd hoped it would be. It's extremely moisturizing and made with simple, natural ingredients. The lavender scent is divine!
Kind Lips Sweet Mint Lip Balm, 0.15 oz — Retail Value $5.00
A couple of years ago I vowed to never again use Chapstick or any other sort of lip balm that uses chemicals to hydrate your lips that also end up drying them out worse in the end. Now I've noticed that as long as my body is hydrated, my lips are rarely chapped, but sometimes it's still nice to swipe something on them to freshen them up in the winter or in the sun. This option checks my boxes for being natural and chemical-free, and its minty flavor is super refreshing!
Verdict: I think this has been my favorite TheraBox yet! They included some really original products that I haven't encountered in other boxes, like the music download and the travel soap, and supplemented them with classic self-love ones like the essential oils roll-on and a solid hand lotion. I love that this box supports small businesses who use mostly natural ingredients. Value-wise, this month totals $112.39. Considering that the box costs $41 for subscription + shipping, there is no questioning that this box is a great value.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. June's box ships on June 26.
Value Breakdown: At $41 for this box + shipping, you're paying approximately $5.13 for each of the 8 items in the box.
