Yogi Surprise is a monthly health and wellness subscription box that sends you natural goodies each month. Some items may be specifically for yoga, but in general, this is more of a lifestyle box. Yogi Surprise also offers a monthly Jewelry box (read our reviews here!).
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Yogi Surprise June 2018 Review
This month centers around meditation. The theme is "Bliss Out!"
I got some info cards about different holistic brands, too. I'm VERY curious about this spider deterrent! The card with meditation downloads is listed among the other featured products in the booklet. I don't usually think of digital downloads as value items in boxes, just because you typically have to give some info about yourself in order to get the "product". (That's the case here—after you enter your password, you have to enter your name and contact information to get the download, and I don't really feel like being on another newsletter/marketing list!)
Singing Bowl Set from The Ohm Store - Retail Value $21.98
This brass bowl is the size and shape of a squat softball. It comes with a felted ring to set it down on, plus a mallet for starting its ring. I love that it's hand-hammered and that the little card that comes with it explains how to use it. I was delighted by the warm, full sound that rang out from this small bowl!
Bee Lucia Lavender and Amethyst Wellness Candle Tin, 4 oz. – Retail Value $14.95
I've gotten this candle in so many subscription boxes lately (including this one and this one)! It's a lovely lavender candle tin with the added bonus of being speckled with little amethyst crystals. They look awfully pretty in there, especially as the flame flickers. I'm more underwhelmed by this pick, just since I have experienced it already, but I won't mind having another one of these peaceful candles!
Matr Boomie Hamsa Anklet
I could only find this anklet online as part of a set or at wholesale prices. I like the deep sapphire blue color thread holding the brass beads together—the contrast is really pretty. According to my quick online research, the hamsa symbol is recognized in many different religions and cultures as a sign of happiness, health, and good fortune. I think it's interesting that this is an anklet, too! It's been a minute since I've worn an anklet—maybe this will be my new go-to summer accessory! FYI, the anklet gets to about 13" around at its widest.
Derma-E 3-in-1 Hair Protection Serum, 4 fl. oz. - Retail Value $10.99
This serum is free of soy, gluten, parabens, GMOs, mineral oils, artificial colors, and harmful sulfates. It just takes a small amount of this serum to bring some life to the dry, heat-treated ends of my hair. I've been trying to be a bit kinder to my hair in terms of conditioning it, doing a mask now and then and making sure to protect it when I'm heat styling, so this more natural hair product is perfect for me!
A Little Bit of Meditation by Amy Leigh Mercree - Retail Value $9.95 (Found here for $7.48)
To help inform and inspire my meditation practice, the box included this little hardcover book. Inside, there are mantra ideas, information about Om, the importance of meditation and more.
Book Summary on Amazon:
An easy-to-use, informative introduction to one of today’s most popular spiritual practices: meditation.
Meditation is a proven method of finding calm and coping with our crazy world. Amy Leigh Mercree explores the history of this ancient practice as well as its practical applications—including decreased anxiety and a more contented life. In addition to outlining the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual ramifications of meditating, she includes a selection of easy-to-follow guided meditations.
The Verdict: I liked the educational aspect of this month's Yogi Surprise box. The book provided a solid starting place for learning more about meditation and new ways to approach my practice, and I liked how the singing bowl, the candle, and the hamsa symbol all complement a meditation setting or vibe. The hair product doesn't fit that profile quite as well, but I still loved it, haha! This box is on the pricey side of what I'd typically want to pay for a monthly box, but I'm happy with the quality of everything I received.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the July box. Sign up on or by the 13th to get the next month’s box! All orders processed after the 13th will ship the following month.

Value Breakdown: There were 5 featured items in this $44.95 box. I couldn't find values for every item, but the retail values I could find added up to $57.87. The average price you pay for each item via the box is $8.99.
