Now, on to the items!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 – 15 ml Value $38.40

(Good to know for swapping - this item has an inner foil seal.)

Elemis is a fab (and pricey) skincare line, so I'm always happy to see it in a subscription box! In addition to providing SPF 30, it also is designed to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and to firm skin. It's light, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave a greasy finish. I applied my makeup over it with no problem, too. I wish it wasn't scented, but other than that, I have no complaints!

Bioderma Sensibio H20 – 100 ml Value $6.90

(Good to know for swaps – this item has a breakaway plastic seal.)

I’m all in on Micellar Water thanks to sampling it through subscription boxes. This formula is hydrating, gentle, and did a great job of removing my makeup. (I use this on cotton pads for full makeup removal, or q-tips for stray eyeliner, etc.)

Sun Bum SPF 30 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion – 1 oz Value $2

(Good to know for swapping - this item has an inner foil seal.)

This item is giving me a POPSUGAR Must Have flashback! (Anyone else remember the July 2014 box?) This SPF 30 formula goes on white, but rubs in clear, and it's water-resistant, gluten-free, and vegan. I like the faint coconut scent, too.

MDSolarSciences Mineral Tinted Crème SPF 30 Broad Spectrum UVA-UVB Sunscreen – 0.25 oz Value $4.70

This tinted creme rubs in to almost clear (not the sunscreen for you if you are looking for medium-to-full coverage), but the finish is fantastic. It’s a super smooth matte – almost like a primer.

R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo – Travel Size Value $17

Add R+Co to the list of hair care brands that make fantastic scented products! (Also, bonus points for their packaging.) In addition to smelling fab, this dry shampoo does a great job of absorbing excess oil and it goes on clear!

Avene Thermal Spring Water – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $14

I use water mists every day, so I’m always happy to get more in a subscription box! They are great for a quick refresh any time, and you can spray them over makeup, too. (Also great for hydrating skin after airplane travel.)

Anyone else store these in the refrigerator during the summer?

Glo Skin Beauty Suede Matte Crayon in Demure – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $18

(Subscribers will either receive the Demure or Trademark shade.)

This crayon glides on easily, has great pigment, and it provides a matte finish without drying out my lips. Plus, this color is a win for me!

Here it is swatched:

Dermstore Wet Bag – Value $19.99

Normally I view bags in beauty boxes as a nice extra, but not a value-add to the box. Not so with this one! First, the size is great. Here it is in my hand to give you a better sense of scale:

It's completely lined, water-resistant, and the perfect size for all my toiletries that are prone to spilling, or to store swimsuits, etc.

I love the blue and white simple design, and the Dermstore logo is pretty tiny, too! This was a pleasant surprise discovery in the box!

SkinCeuticals Light Moisture UV Defense SPF 50 – 4 ml Value $.78

This is a tiny sample and mine is about 50% air, so it worked for one use to cover my face only. Not great, but not nothing. The formula itself is great: SPF 50, paraben-free, fragrance-free, lightweight, and waterproof for 40 minutes!

Raw Spirit Eau de Parfum Spray in Desert Blush – 1 ml Value $5.33

(Subscribers will either receive this scent or Summer Rain.)

This is a floral fragrance with notes ylang-ylang, jasmine petals, violet, sandalwood, and musk.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $127.10! That's an incredible value for a $24.95 box! I think this is a fab Summer travel box, and they included so many of my favorite brands + products. I definitely recommend this box1

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! As of today, 7/9, this box is still available and will be your first box when you subscribe. Click here to get this box!

Value Breakdown: At $24.95, here's what you are paying per item:

I’m going to stay strong and not cave. I have moisturizer and lots if it. I have extra Coola sunscreen since I like the spray so much better. This box is tempting for me but just de cluttered and aim to stay within reason. I hope to anyway! I have had 2 weddings and vacation this month so forced restraint … lol

My sample of SkinCeuticals feels kind of empty/airy. Also didn’t come with the foil seal. Is this normal or is mine used/defective?

I love beauty fix but I canceled my subscription due to June and July boxes due to all of the sunscreen Products as I have so many. I’m hoping that August and moving forward there will be some better variety of products so I can resubscribe as I really enjoy this subscription specifically because of all the skin care but not so much all of the most recent sunscreen items.

I agree and I wish they’d go back to the time when they had fewer but nicer and larger products. I won’t stick around for much longer if we keep getting 6-9 small items and SO much sunscreen

This box is one of my favorite BeautyFix boxs, too. I’m loving all the different types of sunscreens to sample. The only thing I dont care for & wont use is the dry shampoo. I received the Glo Skin lip crayon in the color Trademark and I absolutely love it! I’m a fan of Raw Spirit fragrances and now I think I’ll have to buy the Desert Blush full size after sampling it here.

I just tried out the lip crayon tonight and I am shocked at how much I liked it. I thought it would be a throw away/sit in my bathroom item but the color looks great on me. And it feels nice on my lips. Pleasantly surprised! I also have no idea how to sharpen it, though? I’m a little confused about it but I really like this much better than the one we got from Allure. The J Mama didn’t work for me at all. 🙁

Was anyone able to figure out how to sharpen the lip crayon? I have no clue how it is supposed to sharpen or even get more out of the stick than what you first see when its new and you take the cap off. I looked online and it’s supposed to have a sharpener inside of the cap but it doesn’t appear to have a sharpener in the one that I received. I’m wondering if this isn’t actually a full sized product.

Tatmia

I just sharpened mine with the large side of my makeup pencil sharpener.

Nikkim

I’m not sure if wet n wild still sells it but I got my sharpener from them and it fits all my bigger eye and lip pencils, and super cheap!

Tricia

Nars has a great sharpener that has both large and small sizes. I have used to sharpen all different brands of pencils.

I can never get enough sunscreen so I’m happy!

Received my box today…..and as much as I love love love getting beauty boxes in the mail….I am tiring a little…with all the sunscreen products!! I know its summer….but I would love to see a little more variety other than 2 or 3 sunscreen type products. Your review did make me more curious about my items and trying each one! Love the bag! Cant wait to try the water mist!

Carrie

I am tired of all the dang dry shampoo sprays…I do not like them at all.

Olivia

Have you tried powder dry shampoo? It genuinely changed my life. All the aerosol dry shampoos were never enough for me, but with powder its actually as if I just washed my hair again!

Nan

Received mine today. There’s a lot of nice stuff in there. Cant wait to try everything. Plus, the wet bag looks good with my new July Ipsy bag.

Was compelled to spring for this box after coming across it on here.
I live in FL so everything in here is super useful! I’ve been meaning to pick up some face/chest SPF (I have some for the body, but I like extra protection for those areas) but these will hold me over for a few trips to the beach. Also, my skin has been more dry since summer started and I am excited to spritz liberally with the Avene!
Been wanting to try R+Co for a long time so excited to test out the dry shampoo.

I have such a love hate relationship with this sub. That said, BeautyFix is the only sub box I’ve been faithful to for the last two (wow, maybe three) years. Usually stuff that would never be on my radar!

Reply ButtonReply

Nan

I’ve found a lot of new brands I really like with this sub. Most of them I never would have tried otherwise.

Liz, what brand of Jeans are you wearing? They look so good on you! I have been trying to find some good Jeans, I wear mostly Leggings and need some Jeans.

Liz Cadman

Thanks! These are American Eagle AE NE(X)T LEVEL high waisted jeans. Hope that helps!

When I saw that we were getting water in a can I rolled my eyes. I figured i would throw it away and hoped the other products would be useful. Despite my low opinion I did try it and I have to say I am surprised by how much I like it. It is refreshing and my face does feel more hydrated and more smooth when it evaporates.

Liz, is the Elemis mostly full or half way full?
Thank you

Liz Cadman

Eek. It wasn’t noticeably full or not full, if that makes any sense. I just went and checked it, but I’ve been using it for the past few days, so it’s hard to say. Definitely not 100% full. Hope that helps a bit!

Cp

Ok thank you ☺️

lori

Yay! Can’t wait, mine is supposed to arrive in 2 days!

Does the sun bum still have parabens in it?? It used to and made me so sad when everyone was using it all summer and I couldn’t:( would love to try it if they updated the formula!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz Cadman

Just checked the ingredients. No parabens!

From the Sun Bum site:

Gluten Free / Paraben Free
Oil Free / PABA Free
Cruelty Free / 100% Vegan
Reef Friendly / Oxybenzone Free & Octinoxate Free

Marissa

Yay!!! So excited to try it then, thank you!

My box has shipped. I can’t wait to get it! I’m most excited for the Elemis and bag. Also, I sure hope I get the same color lip crayon as Liz.

I would have preferred the Demure as the Trademark that I received is the same rosy brown that the other boxes have been giving. That said, it does feel lovely.

I wasn’t expecting to be impressed with the wet bag, but I am. It’s huge. In fact, the Beautyfix box it came in was at least twice as long as the usual box to accommodate it.

They updated the box a couple of months ago. This is the new box.

Hmm, I wasn’t initially interested in this box, but after this review I think I might cave… Looks like I’ll really be able to use everything in it!

It’s a super practical box in my opinion – I’m really loving this month’s box more now that I have my hands on it 🙂

It’s surprisingly one of my favorites from them!
