So I received my box last night and it was a pleasure to open up!
Wasn’t sure because of some things that seemed odd about the curation – but I have to say that I will be using every item in the box happily.
If I’m critical – because of the lower value this month it’s a minus that some of the items seem to be travel sized and not full sized.
However, everything is great quality. Even this particular Maybelline was an Allure award Winner – so even that ends up being a win.
The lippies are both surprisingly great. The Appeal is moisturizing and they type of light nude I have been wanting to try lately.
The Mellow is AMAZING! A different nude look – much darker than I like – however I canNOT believe how it wears! Very light feeling, the color is holding (not turning darker) and my lips actually look more plump (instead of becoming more shriveled with the matte look). So excited to have this with fall coming.
The Tarte brow pencil seems worth it’s value! comes with a spooly and clear gel as well. Very happy to have this.
The repeats from May I had given away as gifts and actually wanted to try, so am happy to have them both. I got the Shea Moisture styling creme and recently tried one of their conditioners which left my hair so soft – very happy to try this one out.
The hair mask is small but got great reviews… the nail kit actually seems to be good quality. The nail clippers were sharp, all of the tools feel great on my hands and even the inside of the case feels well made. I think the gold glitter outside doesn’t do it justice.
I keep reading comments that their promised value is up to $300 – that’s mistaken – it was around $150 when I signed up earlier this year. Their Spring Bonus box (one time deal) is still available on their website and is the one that is $300 in value.
So, not sure how this box is peachy and feel they used repeat product to help with the value, which still falls short in my opinion, however, I will be using everything in the box which makes it a great value for me and in the end it was a pleasure to open. I still can’t get over the Mellow nude.
I think it is worth sharing opinions with Bless – it’s only with feedback that they can continue to improve.

I’ve been a consistent subscriber since October. There’s usually one pretty good item in the boxes which always gives me hope for the next month. However, this one put me over the edge and I’m heading to their website right now to cancel. Repeat, drugstore items…bye.

I’m definitely disappointed. I don’t want repeat products so soon after I originally received them. I haven’t even opened the first pot of Simple Night Cream I got from the May box. I get so frustrated with Bless Box because they have one really great box that sucks me in and then the next few are just duds. I have already cancelled but I’m so disappointed in myself for falling for this again. I am still trying to unload my entire June box if anyone is interested.

Mellow sucks, Appeal is a no name brand, the NCLA Kit is pretty low quality, & Maybelline is a decent drugstore brand, but had no business being in a $37.50 box that advertises a $150-300 retail value.

The Simple Sleeping Cream is great & all, but is ultimately a repeat from May. The “Miracle” Styler is also from May.

This month is particular seems like a random ass box & I’m surprised this company is still staying afloat when you can get a better value elsewhere.
Yes Oh Yas, Boxycharm, FFF, So Susan Curate, & BeautyFix are all better values with usable & trust-worthy brands.

Agreed! Its crazy. I am trying to cancel now but Ive been waiting 2 days for a response to my cancellation request. My $15 Allure box was WAY better than this. This box is junk. Im so mad at myself for spending $37.50 two months in a row on crap. I think its insulting to their subscribers to send this junk for a box this expensive. FFF is miles better than this and its actually cheaper right now at $29.99 for the editors box. I mean come on…..

This is my 4th Blessbox and I’m STILL up in the air…this box has a few repeat items and a few “low dollar” items…I WANT so badly to like it and continue my subscription but I just don’t think its worththe $37.50 a month.
🙁

I felt the same way and unsubscribed from this box. The customer service and concept are excellent but the contents are disappointing.

Does this month have a theme? Because if “Random stuff in our warehouse” is it, then they have knocked it out of the park this month. I don’t see how they are going to keep subscribers if this continues, especially for $38. They also seem to have a big problem with repeat products. Bless box better get their act together before they go out of business. I feel bad for their current subscribers, they must feel duped.

I’m not sure about bananas since the Tarte and Appeal already take you above $50…I haven’t gotten mine yet but do wonder about the curation. The repeat products would make sense if they were bonus, but they are being used to make up promised value.
Why add another black liquid liner when there was just one for last month’s box (which is going to arrive in the near future because it was stuck in customs).
If you receive the Appeal lipstick, you’re getting 2 lippies this month and then you could forgive it if the theme made sense, but how is this juicy or peachy?
I will say that I think you are getting the value if this is your first box, especially when they offer such a generous sign up offer. It also worked out for me personally as I sent home some of my May box with out of town family, so am happy that I’ll get to try it after all. I noticed the repeat product from IG posts varied. So you may end up with another favorite from that box. I also appreciate the care giving aspect of the box with grooming tools and the whitening kit.

OMG I am so disappointed in this months box, first off the Simple Skin Quench Sleeping Cream and the Shea Moisture Silicone Free Miracle Styler Leave-In Treatment were in the May Box (just two months ago)….And the value and quality of this box is very upsetting,I do not know if I should cancel or not.

I have loved all of the boxes except the last two,so I am hoping they go back to getting better, this is why I am on the fence on if I should cancel or not.

ColleenT.

It says on the site that the box is promised at over $300 in value.
