PURPLE!!! Finally a purple shadow! Not happy that the first ingredient is talc but…..nice to have some real colors to play with! Hopefully I get the lip palette instead of just a single!

I’m honestly surprised Laura lee would even make this type of pallet because she NEVER wears bold colors like this.? I don’t mind because it’s o oh 21$ a month but I probably will never use it

Can someone tell me will I lose my points if i cancel for August and then resub in September?

Jamie
Your charms should still be there unless they’ve changed things. The only thing is if you’re wanting to sign up for the boxyluxe in September you have to be an active subscriber for August, so if you don’t get the August box you can’t get boxyluxe in September. That’s what’s been said so far by Yosef anyways.

Ugh. Not a fan of Laura Lee and I cold definitely live without this palette.
It is unwearable for everyday and will not be getting used. Will pass it along to my 8 year old niece to play with.

OMG that eyeshadow palette!! **cat heart eyes** Even tho I’m sure I have very similar colors already, I want those too!

Well August will be my last month, got a email for 1000 points per referral and 1 bumbum cream per person right? So I referred 2 friends got the points for one yet not the other they were both done within the time frame allotted the one that I didn’t get counted for my best friend sent me a copy of where they charged her card at 1:56 it had to be done before 5 so I’m emailing boxycharm back and forth and just more or less told me I wasn’t getting the points it was done after 5 even though the stamped on day on her credit card says 156 that I emailed to them so I’m just not getting it as what they more or less told me I’m done that’s ridiculous really over some points corporate greed is out of control

Boxycharm needs to adopt that skip a month option for sure. And use our personal profiles. I really hope that they do not take our suggestions and then incorporate them into the boxyluxe upgrade. That would not be cool. But I don’t know how that’s going to work nor the price point so we shall see.

I’m really unhappy with the way boxyluxe is being rolled out. The lack of details, hell the lack of basic info like how much it’s going to cost (info that should have been available on day 1 when they made the announcement), makes the whole thing seem sketchy. They haven’t even touched on how they’re planning on keeping ppl from buying multiple boxes and leaving others unable to buy any at all like what happened with the limited edition box which turned out to be a disaster and the fact that a lot of ppl were shut out if purchasing one had a lot to do with it.
I’m really not sure what’s happening at boxycharm lately, but it doesn’t feel special to be a charmer anymore.

I totally agree….not sure I understand their point, but I won’t be getting it due to the reason you’ve mentioned 🙃
Laura
I feel the same way.
Laura
I feel the same way, as big as this box look’s it’s going to be 40.00 or 50.00. I can’t afford it.
Laura
I feel the same way, if they were going to do this boxyluxe, why don’t they just go ahead and give us a price now so we can make up our minds. But they will wait till we get these August’s boxes before they give us a price for September, bet. And as big as this box looks it’s going to be 40.00 or 50.00. GIVE US A PRICE PLEASE!!!!!

But they will wait till we get these August’s boxes before they give us a price for September, bet. And if the box is big as they are showing, it’s going to be a very expensive box like all the other’s are. I signed up for boxycharm because it is 21.00 a month, you get great items(except for next month’s palette). Now they want to do BOXYCHARM and BOXYLUXE together. What’s up with this? We should be able to get one or the other not both. I bet the price of the new box will be 40.00 or 50.00, it’s to big of a box for just 25.00 or 30.00. But I do love the fact that it’s quarterly not monthly. What does everyone else think?
Jamie
Praying to the makeup gawds for something in the pink/mauve/light nude family and definitely nothing red, orange or brown. At least if it’s something like that I can gift it to my mom, but even she won’t wear red, orange or brown lipstick. I prefer a matte liquid lipstick, but I’m thinking that’s asking for way too much lol. Just hit me with a color either my mom or i can wear and I’ll be happy. Otherwise no matter how stupendous that luxe box is they can keep it and I’ll go for another sub that doesn’t torture me with amazing brands, but unbearable and unwearable colors/shades.

Anything but the lip palette! I need lip color that I can take for touch ups or has major staying power.

If you get the lip palette and I just get a single lipstick….I’ll trade you

Please no dark colors! I know they compliments some (I hope those who want them get them) But I hope I get a light shade! 🙂

I would love to have a nice pink color or the triple lippie color. No browns or reds for me please.

Looks like a fun palette and smashboxnis great but I’m so happy I decided to take a break from boxy. No FOMO here.

I am going to keep an eye out for more spoilers but I am thinking about cancelling for now, regardless of upgrading the future Boxycharm boxes. I also got the Limited Edition box and I was not happy paying that much money for what I received. So if its anything like that, then I am glad to jump off the bandwagon.
The Laura Lee palette I know I will never use, and I was very disappointed with the Smashbox spoiler. I was hoping for one of their primers, but these lipsticks do not get me excited at all. I have so many to use up already!
Just losing excitement over Boxycharm in general these past couple of months. I think its great for building and refreshing a collection, but I guess its time to leave for a while.

I hate the word “lippie” as well and will not use it. What’s the point? It has the same number of syllables as “lipstick” or “lip gloss” and is less descriptive.
As far as the spoiler goes, I would love to have that same palette but as eye shadow. I’m always looking for those tones for my eyes.

As long as I don’t get a brown or orange lippie, I’m happy!
On a side note, the word lippie doesn’t bother me. Funny enough, know someone who uses the word “brekkie” i/o breakfast and I want to cause her great physical harm every time she says it.

OHHH that drives me nuts too. My son watches Cars and lighting Mcqueen says brekkie! LMAO

Dilemma time – I cancelled but now I’m reading the comments about the luxe box. Does anybody know how much it’s going to be to upgrade? Now I’m debating if I need to resubscribe. Ahhhhh!!
Reply
Kathie
There’s no info yet on how many more products there will be or how much it will cost. It will contain everything in the Sept. box plus the additional makeup and/or lifestyle products.
It will be a quarterly box billed automatically unless you cancel the Luxe part of your box.

Am I the only one that finds it odd some subscibers will get a lippy pallet while others will get a lippy lipgloss? I feel like the options are not equal unless there’s more to this?

On the Smashbox web site, the price point for the pallet, the liquid lip, and the triple tone lipstick is the same ($24).

Nikkim
Thanks Michelle, cause I was wondering the same thing as Charlie. I want the palette but I take whichever, just hoping it’s not red

I’m excited for this box! The palette I am going to give away (Christmas) but I am happy for a lipstick and hoping I get the three tone one but all the lipsticks are looking great.

What is the month one has to be enrolled in to sign up for the BoxyLuxe? I told my friend (she’s not feeling the electric colors) it is this month. Or am I wrong? Anyone??
Reply
Tracie
You must be an active subscriber in August to qualify for the upgrade in September. An email will go out to subscribers in August inviting you to supscribe to the upgrade box. it is an upgrade subscription that will auto bill your account every three months the upgrade price.

Lauren
Do you think it will still be a monthly box in addition to the quarterly rate, or do you think you have to choose between monthly or quarterly? Thanks!
Barbara
I do believe you are right, you have to be active subscriber in August in order to have ability to upgrade before September billing.

The phrase “be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it” is coming back to haunt me today. I’m sure there are a lot of young women who will like this and be excited to get it, but this palette is just a little too much for me. Maybe the rest of the box will be a little more tame.

I’m 50 and excited about the palette! While it’s not one I’d use for everyday, I think it would be fun to mix and match with other palettes to add a little punch. Maybe an outer corner, crease or eyeliner. Def not an entire eye color!

Debbie
I’m 51 and with you Donna! I’m tired of just the neutrals and look forward to experimenting with and adding a pop of vivid as an accent. This is an accent pallet, not a full look.
Kate
Agreed. I’m 35 so I don’t even want to try to pull off that palette. I’m thinking of canceling again.

It’s funny. I’m 36 and I love those eye shadow colors. I want just about anything but neutral. No neutral eye shadows, no neutral lipsticks, etc. But I think I’m glad some of the BoxyCharm “wow” is rubbing off now. Even a few months ago, I kept hearing, “BoxyCharm is the best,” but I was subbed only two months last year and I believe I kept the “Lock Diary” (?) ColourPop lipstick and sold the rest. BoxyCharm seems to be in trouble, in all honesty. Even $21.00, a low price point for more, usually (not always) higher-end items couldn’t satisfy me. I stick to indie subs. I’m more skincare-focused and while BoxyCharm has that part of “options” on its site when you subscribe, it just ended up I would have a trunk of makeup after a while that I couldn’t give away.
Alexa
Same here. I am 56. Those eye colors might be fun for younger women, but please, I just want something I can wear to work or running errands or out with Hubby. In any context, they would look ridiculous on me, nor would I have any desire to even try to wear them. I wish we are able to at least create a profile based on our age and color preferences. I signed up for Boxy because of all their beautiful palettes but canceled because of this one. Oh and I hate the word “lippy” too – it sounds infantile!
Jennifer
Everyone remember that if you don’t sub in the month of August, you can’t sub for Boxy Luxe in September. Just an FYI 😉
