BoxyCharm is a full-size beauty and makeup subscription box. They always provide a great value compared the cost of the box. (If you are a makeup addict - I HIGHLY recommend this box!)

Crown Brush Fuego Eyeshadow Palette – Retail Value $29.99

(Subscribers will either receive this or Tarte Ready, Set, Radiant Mist.)

I love this warm brown shades! The pigment is fantastic, and I love the mix of shimmers and mattes. (6 mattes, 4 shimmers.) These colors are super wearable for me, too.

This peachy pink color is SO pigmented. A little goes a long way, but don't worry if you overdo it, it was pretty easy to blend out.

Underneath the blush is a mini brush:

Eh, I'm not a fan of the brush. I've seen quality mini brushes in compacts (Benefit comes to mind), but this one just felt really cheap. (But it does the job in a pinch!)

Chella Eyebrow Cream in Taupe – Retail Value $26

I lucked out - this is the perfect shade for my dark brown brows. And it's immediately going into my daily makeup routine. I'm so impressed with the pigment, the brush makes it easy to apply, and it doesn't budge once it is on!

dr. brandt needles no more® NO MORE BAGGAGE™ eye de-puffing gel – Retail Value $42

Wow! I try SO many de-puffing, under-eye eye treatments, and this is one of the few that I could actually feel and see working! After I applied the gel, it immediately gave my skin a cooling feeling. Then, over the next few minutes, I could actually feel a subtle tightening of my skin. (The tightening goes away when you wash this off.)

It has an orange tint, which I think helps conceal the blue tones of undereye circles, but it didn't make enough of a difference there for me to go without undereye concealer. And it gives your skin a smooth, powdery finish. (And just FYI, this isn't an aloe-vera-type gel, it takes some effort to squeeze it out of the tube!)

Looking at the reviews on Sephora, it seems like people either love or hate this. I'm a fan, but I'm guessing it doesn't work as well for all skin types.

Wander Beauty Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara – Retail Value $24

I like the Wander Beauty brand, and this mascara formula is new to me, so I was thrilled when I saw that this item would be in all boxes. And the formula didn't disappoint. I could easily build out length, volume, and curl. (I had to apply multiple layers to get the look I wanted, but the formula is on the dry side, so I could do this quickly.)

Verdict: The total retail value of this box is $133.98! As usual, I think that's amazing for a $21 box - Boxycharm never disappoints! And I'm extra happy that all the colors work for me this month, too!

So bummed! I created a new account so I could get two boxes in an effort to get at least 1 Farmacy mask. Just got my second box today and it’s the exact same variation as the first! From previous comments it seemed most people wanted the Farmacy mask so I know it’s a long shot but…if anyone wants to swap the Farmacy mask I will trade you one whole box for it. So you’d get the eye gel, crown palette, eyebrow, mascara and blush for parting with the Farmacy mask. I’m daniellemgreen on gmail. Or you can message here with your info.

Also…did anyone else receive a slightly imperfect palette? Both of mine had fallout inside the palette and one or two shades that almost looked like they’d been lightly swatched. I’m starting to feel like the quality of products is going down plus I always get the variations I don’t want. I may have to leave again. Maybe the luxe box will be better.

Nope. Mine was like that too. Almost like the tube was empty for the most part. Between this and the condition of my palette I’m wondering what’s going on lately. Like they’re getting some kind of deal for less than perfect items. If this happens again next month I may cancel until I see the luxe box reviewed.

My Chella brow is a dud. There is no product in the tube at all. It looks like white cotton in there. What the heck? Guess Chella’s quality control is sloppy.

Mine WAS 0.7 and I got the same as Liz. I can’t use the blush but I can use the brow pomade… which stuns me since I was looking at Liz’s arm swatch. Sadly, this Crown palette won’t stop me from buying this Urban Decay Born to run palette. In this heat, I have to get to work early to do my eyes… this can’t be normal and I blame Boxycharm for my palette madness…

This is my favorite subscription box every month since I first got it. Although my first box was missing an item, the primer, I loved the Box in May and June but now my July box seems to be missing. Tracking says it was delivered yesterday but I was home all day and got other deliveries from Amazon and eBay but not my Boxycharm. Of course I’ve emailed them since they have no phone number but I’m so upset at the thought of not getting this month’s box! The spoilers have shown my favorite stuff yet! I don’t know what to do now because even though this is my favorite box I’m missing one item from May’s and an entire box for July! I’m on disability with very little extra money and this is one of my treats every month, I hate the thought of losing out on $21 and even worse losing out on my box items. Does anyone else have this trouble?

They will most definitely re-send your box. Make sure you ask your neighbors if they received it. I know they asked me to do this when i was missing a box. But, it takes a good week for them to re-send the box. So, it’s not immediate

Any issues I have ever had with Boxycharm have always been solved right away. It wouldn’t surprise me if they go ahead and send you another July box on them. I wouldn’t worry to much about not getting a July box. I wish you the best!

Thank you for telling me that! I’m just worried because I still haven’t received the primer that was missing from my first box in May and since they don’t have a phone system and I have to wait in an email I am SO nervous!!! I REALLY liked my first 2 boxes and LOVED the spoilers for this month’s box so I was super excited to get either box. I’m so afraid I won’t get one (especially since I’m still waiting on the primer from May)…hopefully it’ll show up or they’ll replace it. I hate to think one of my neighbors got it and kept it because I wouldn’t do that to them but ya never know. I live in a pretty poor part of town and the temptation would be high to keep something like a Boxycharm box. I’m trying to be patient and wait on my email but I’m sure it’ll be a day or 2.

Can someone tell me how you see the weight of the box ? When I track it it’s not giving me the options

If you go to the tracking link it will take you to the FedEx page. Under tracking there should be an option to switch to shipment facts which will have your box weight. Ignore the measurements as I think those have make to do with pricing etc and aren’t accurate.

I am actually really happy with my variation!
I did not want the pallet because I wouldn’t use the colors, and I got the setting spray!
The dr.brandts no more baggage I an also very happy with, I got the variation I really wanted!
I an super excited to try the blush as well it is just about the same shade I used to get years back and I’ve missed it so much.
I’ve been really impressed with all my boxes so far, and cant wait to see what august is like!

My box says 0.7 according to all the Facebook comments on the Boxy page there arent many people expecting a box with that weight..they are all 0.8 or 0.9.

Liz, or anyone else who can answer – does the blush have an odd smell to it? I have a friend who bought some Note makeup and they all have a weird smell (maybe she just got a bad batch). Thanks for the review!

My entire box sat in my mailbox for about an hour on a 95 degree day. When I opened it the blush and palette both smelled pretty bad imo. Maybe it was just bc they got hot, but either way I don’t want to put it on my face. It’s just yuck. Reminds me of super cheap 99 cent store make up I would play with as a kid.

None of the reviews I’ve seen have said anything about that yet, but so far they’ve all been “free box reviews” so they don’t really say a lot of bad things abt the box. I’ll keep watch and report back if I hear anything.

Mine is 0.8 Do you (or anyone) recall what was in that box? I really wanted the Farmacy item and was open to the rest, but I’m cool-toned and full up on warm and neutral palettes. Not that it matters. I’ll get what I get, but it would be nice to be prepared, LOL!

Quick question about Boxyluxe – the upgrade option coming this fall.

For those of us with prepaid subscriptions ( 3 or 6 or 12 months) what happens if we want to upgrade? How would that work

I’m really considering cancelling boxy charm before they renew the three month subscription I have. I was a new subscriber and got the May box as my first with the contour palette which I didn’t want but I think everyone got that. Then last month was a good box except I didn’t get the bum bum cream and when I contacted costumer service I was told I was getting it in this box, which I did not. Then this box I really, really didn’t want the eye palette and that’s what I got plus the mirror is cracked. I’m so annoyed.

The month that we got the Colourpop palette, mine was damaged and they told me I would be getting it in the next month’s box but it was shipped separately and was delivered a week later than my box for that month. Not sure if that helps but could be why you didn’t get the Bum Bum cream!

When I click on my tracking number, it says shipping label was created back on the 5th and today is the 11th and hasn’t even been picked up by fed ex yet? Booooo

They have changed the way these are tracked. We won’t get updates for each stop anymore. I hate it! Anyway, mine showed label created on the 5th – I kept checking and then early this morning it showed in Indiana. Nothing between the 5th and 12th (in tracking). I did sign up for updates on the FedEx page. It shows delivery on Monday. I miss seeing where it is, at any time!
