California Found June 2018 Review

Instead of a booklet or pamphlet, California Found sends these really cool info cards for each product. They are very nice quality and informative. It also points out that they donate 10% of their profit every month to a charitable cause, and this month it's The Pacific Marine Mammal Center, an organization that rehabilitates injured sea mammals in Orange County, CA. Also, the little band holding the cards together is embedded with wildflower seeds, so it's plantable! So awesome!

Four Greeting Card Set by Sweet Llamita

Four Greeting Card Set by Sweet Llamita - Retail Value $20

California Found often includes handmade greeting cards from a California artisan, and I just love these! They are not only really pretty, but they also can be given to Spanish speaking friends or family. In fact, the artisan behind Sweet Llamita, Brenda Castillo, developed this line of greeting cards to be just a little more appropriate for her loved ones than your typical Hallmark Fare. She is based out of the Napa Valley area.

Nourishing Eye cream by Honey Belle

Nourishing Eye cream by Honey Belle - Retail Value $18

This eye cream is so creamy and luxurious! The main ingredient is evening primrose oil, which helps to reduce puffiness, bags, and wrinkles around the eyes. All of the ingredients are all-natural and organic, too! Honey Belle was founded by Iris Cherng, a psoriasis sufferer in Brea, California, who was unable to find all-natural, effective skin treatments. So, she developed her own!

Chocolate Chip Paleo Cookies (4-pack) by Nora's Food Co. - Retail Value $5.99 (found here for $4.99)

I ate a paleo diet for a couple of years a while back, and as paleo treats go, these cookies are yummy! They definitely have that familiar coconut taste. Better yet, they are free of refined ingredients, preservatives, or chemicals. Nora's Food Company was developed by Chef Nora Ramos in Brea, CA.

Touchstones & Display Dish by Betsey Carter Ceramics

Touchstones & Display Dish by Betsey Carter Ceramics - Listed Value $32

Touchstones are not really my thing, to be honest, and if they were I would probably prefer they say something more interesting, but I have to say, the craftsmanship on these porcelain stones is outstanding. And I absolutely love the stoneware dish! Which is also very well made. I will definitely use the dish, and I have lots of friends with touchstones who would probably love these. I was also excited to learn that she works from Los Feliz, one of my favorite areas of Los Angeles.

Microfiber Beach & Travel Towel by Laguna Beach Textile Company - Retail Value $25

This towel is so HUGE! I love a giant beach towel! It's also super thin, so it can easily be folded up and carried. It's made from a really soft microfiber and feels so luxe! And actually, that was the goal of Laguna Beach Textile Company founder Danny Meurer, who used to work at a resort and wanted to provide resort quality towels at a price point anyone could afford. Mission accomplished!

The Verdict: California Found has become one of my favorite subscription boxes! This was another amazing box full of things I love! The dish might be my favorite item, but I also love the towel. And the cards! I can't decide! I also cannot help but notice the value of everything adds up to about $101, which is more than the promised value of $90, and the box costs only $49, including free shipping!!!

I love this box…and truthfully…the items are WAY BETTER in person than can be communicated even on all these well written reviews…

The towel is almost like a mini throw it’s so smooth and soft; I like the decorative stones…and I’m not a Knick knack person at all! I’ve been thrilled every month this year.

Their shipping is awesome also…I get my boxes by the 4th of every single month
