Mama & Baby July 2018 Review
Carter’s 4th of July Tank-Top Bodysuit - Retail Value $12.00 (on sale here for $4.19!)
Our box was sent early this month so that we would receive it in time for the Fourth of July, which I think is so thoughtful! I love how festive this box is, too! The American Flag tape on the box and the red, white and blue paper inside were really fun touches! I appreciated that everything seemed to be geared towards celebrating the upcoming holiday including this unisex tank-top bodysuit for baby! This is really cute and since it is size 6 mos. it will definitely be pretty big on baby boy, but I think we can make it work!
Play Glow Bracelet Set 8 ct pack - Retail Value $1.00
Red, white and blue glow stick bracelets are a festive touch! Not a high-value item, but a perfect way to celebrate the holiday. My kids will love them and this is one of those things that I would see after the holiday and realize how fun it would have been after the fact. So now I’m prepared!
Silicone Wine Glass - Retail Value $4.86
I have seen plastic wine glasses before, but I have never seen silicone ones like this. This is a really cool idea and I love the super cute lip print. The glass is actually bendable which makes it incredibly portable since you can toss it in any bag without it taking up much room- perfect for bringing outdoors for a campfire or cookout. Having 3 kids under the age of 4, I certainly appreciate having a wine glass that can’t be broken!
Banana Boat Sport Performance SPF 30 Sunscreen, 1 oz. - Estimated Value $2.33 (Buy 3 for $6.99)
Sunscreen is a must for summer days and I always love a good travel size bottle because it’s so much easier to throw into a purse or diaper bag than a huge bottle! I probably won’t use this on the kids, but this will be perfect for one of those days when my husband inevitably forgets sunscreen or a hat. I also thought it was great that the bottom of this bottle had a piece of tape over it to hold the lid in place. These little details always stick out to me in a box and I’m glad someone had the foresight to do this so that we didn’t take a chance on having a spill!
Mocktails Karma Sucra Cosmopolitan - Estimated $2.00 (Buy 4 for $7.99. No value listed on their website as it looks like these are mostly sold in grocery stores. Also the name has changed to Mockapolitan)
Speaking of thoughtful packaging; the outside of my box had a fragile sticker on it and the glass bottle was packaged very carefully inside of this envelope for extra protection. How cute is this little bottle? And what a great idea to include in a box!
It was nice to have something to test out my new wine glass with, but unfortunately, the flavor wasn’t that great. It kind of tasted like what a cranberry grape flavored Vitamin Water would taste like. It is only 80 calories in a 7 oz bottle, fat-free and made with cane sugar. A fun idea, nonetheless, especially since I’m still nursing my son at the moment.
Fruit Infuser Plastic Water Bottle - Retail Value $12.47
Hydration is key in the summer heat, and infusing water with a little flavor is the perfect way to make sure you stay hydrated. I love putting lemon in my water, but I don’t like to add it to my water bottle that I use daily, so this was nice to receive. I like that I can put whatever fruit I want in the bottom and it will easily flavor the top without any pulp or seeds getting into it. It’s cool that it’s actually a juicer on the bottom so you can get maximum fruit flavor from it. Plus it has a convenient strap for carrying. Hopefully, this really will help me drink more water!
Verdict: I like that with this Mama & Baby box there is always a little something for baby and a lot for mama! The items in this box were all perfect for celebrating the 4th of July holiday and very practical too. My favorites were the wine glass and the cute bodysuit for baby and I’m hoping to get a lot of use out of the water bottle! I estimate the value to be $34.66 which isn’t bad for a $20 box, including free shipping.
