Parabo Box from Parabo Press is a bi-monthly home decor subscription box that includes custom printed photo gifts from your connected Instagram account, plus other home and gift items.
I wasn't expecting to see the box design change every month, but this box is new and looks like it's our theme for June! I love the illustrations and the colorful patterns and it definitely got me excited to open up this box. 🙂
We received this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

June 2018 Review - "Harmony"
Parabo Box is one of my current favorite subscription boxes. If you didn't notice, the price on this box did just increase starting with this delivery, from $29 to $39 every other month.
Their new packaging is super cute and everything comes presented very nicely, making this an excellent (and super unique) housewarming gift idea!
I can't wait to dig into this month's "Harmony" themed box.
8.5" x 11" Art Print & Intro Letter
Once again, there's an immediate connection between the box itself and the included art print and other items. Since Parabo Press focuses on custom print products, it's not surprising that we get a fun art print in every box. I'm a bit of a plant nerd and I love the calming vibes of this watercolor design.
The information about the box is on the back of the art print. I kind of love this touch, because I usually end up keeping art prints but tossing info card -- so this means less waste for me personally.
This box is focused on the idea of harmony and has both natural elements and hexagon shapes! Love this!
Wooden Hexagon Shelf
Honestly, this box somehow always seems to source interesting items that I've totally thought about buying myself before. I've actually looked at DIYing some triangle and hexagon shaped wall shelves lately, so imagine my surprise that one of the hero items in this box is this simple hex shelf!
This floating shelf can easily be used for tabletop displays or can easily be hung on the wall, too:
It's a nicer quality wood and seems solidly constructed, and is 8" wide from point to point or 7" wide from flat side to flat side. All in all, I can think of about 100 different places I'd like to hang it at home.
Air Plant
Ooh! This is one houseplant trend I have not yet gotten into yet either, so again, I was super excited to receive my very own air plant in this box.
This lil guy is about 2" long and has such a fun shape. We gave him a nice soak after we opened the box according to the directions included below, and he perked up nicely.
Fingers crossed I can keep him alive! I'm definitely struggling keeping humidity up for some of my plants at home now that we're in air conditioning season.
Ceramic Hexagon Planter
This little guy mirrors that same shape as our shelf but is a more petite 1.75" tall. It's a simple, neutral white that would lend well to both plants and tea lights.
As you can see though, it's actually a bit big for my new air plant buddy:
So I might repurpose it for a small succulent cutting instead.
Leopardite Stone
Are you in on the rocks and minerals and gems trend? I've always loved nature and have collected a handful of interesting rocks as an adult. I do think they work best to help introduce a bit of natural and organic contrast amid otherwise "modern" settings, as Parabo suggests in the intro card. Plus I just like having small reminders of the earth and the environment around me when I'm stuck in my office all day.
Leopardite is said to promote balance, as Parabo shares on the back of the cute little leopard-print card.
The rock itself is a nice little specimen! I didn't have one of these yet, so it's currently propped up next to quartz on my new hex shelf.
Custom Hex Photo Print
Every Parabo Box includes some kind of photo print or photo object, from a photo that you select. I personally love to print candids, so I grabbed this shot of my son enjoying some soft serve last month.
You never know how the photo will be used ahead of time - it's always a surprise! I was happy with the way the image ended up being cropped on the hex shape, and it definitely pops on my pinboard next to all the squares and rectangles.
Finally, Parabo included a few smaller accessories:
Silver Washi Tape
You can never have enough washi tape, in my opinion. I use this stuff for everything and it seems to last forever! Perfect for hanging photos on painted walls for shorter periods of time without peeling paint.
We also received this small package of stainless T pins to use with the final item in the box:
Hexagon Felt Board
This hanging felt board is such an interesting material. I love that it's a bit industrial but also natural and has such a cool modern shape. It's got a bit of everything going on!
It's about 6" wide, which makes it the perfect size to display your new hex photo if you desire.
It's also got a nice simple cutout on the back to make it easy to hang. I always feel like the products Parabo includes in this box have really thought through all of these small details.
I'm not sure how I'll use this just yet, but it seems like a great small size to hang near our key rack at home for pinning reminders to.
Verdict: If you like modern decor styles and custom photo gifts, Parabo Box is a totally unique and great subscription to try (or gift!). It's always curated well and I love the whole experience, from unpacking the box to seeing my chosen photo in a surprising new way. I always end up feeling inspired to refresh my space, and it's amazing that so far I've received items I actually love! I end up sharing or giving away items from other subscriptions pretty often, but Parabo Box is always mine mine mine.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? This box may be sold out now (it was very close to selling out earlier this week); you can contact Parabo before you sign up to confirm which box you'll receive.

Value Breakdown: This one was particularly hard to assign a value to. Not including the t-pins and washi tape, I received 7 items: a wooden shelf, a felt pin board, an art print, a custom photo print, an air plant, a small planter, and leopardite stone. At $39 per box, that's about $5.57 per item. For a box of things that I love that's totally aligned with my taste in home decor, this feels more than reasonable to me! (Note: I know that not everyone assigns values to paper goods like the art print, but since I love refreshing my artwork and actually do hang them to enjoy, it's definitely part of the value for me.)
