PinkSeoul Mask Box June 2018 Review
Prior to purchasing a subscription, PinkSeoul will ask you several customization questions. Some products are more appropriate/recommended for a particular skin type so be sure to figure out your skin type.
Here is the info sheet detailing the products.
Jayjun Anti-Dust Therapy Mask - Retail Value $4
First off, how gorgeous is this packaging? Second, I am so excited to have finally gotten a three-step sheet mask in a box! This comes with a cleanser you apply before the sheet mask, the actual sheet mask, and then a moisturizer to apply after. The overall process really made me slow down and focus on the self-care aspect that goes with taking care of your skin, so this was a touch more relaxing than usual. The cleanser and mask didn’t irritate my skin and, and after I finished the process and applied the moisturizer my face felt plump and ready for a good night’s sleep.
Jayjun Rose Blossom Mask - Retail Value $4
This mask is made with rose water and ceramide, two ingredients that are both great for soothing your skin. The rose scent wasn’t overpowering and this left mask my face feeling dewy and fresh.
Package Everyday Bouncy Facial Mask - Retail Value $3
How cute is this!!!!!! Look at the bear holding a flower watching the sunset! With the honey bees and hot air balloon! I didn’t even want to open this mask I just wanted to look at it. The main ingredients in this mask are honey extract and hyaluronic acid to really pack in the hydration. I don’t know if this left my face bouncy after using it, but it definitely was hydrating and refreshing.
Package Don’t Worry Healing Mask - Retail Value $3
This mask is specifically for soothing irritated skin and calming redness. I used this when I had an angry hormonal breakout on my chin, and this did help my face feel better after I was wearing it. This was like a hug for my face, which is probably why the packaging shows two people comforting one another!
It’s Skin Power 10 Mask in Ye - Retail Value $4
It’s Skin Power 10 Mask in Li - Retail Value $4
I found both of these masks to be soothing, with the Li focusing on soothing redness (which was great for my breakout), and Ye focusing on healing tired skin. These didn’t leave my face sticky, and I felt refreshed after using them.
A'pieu Watermelon Slice Mask - Retail Value $3
I love these a’pieu slice masks! I’ve tried the cucumber one before so I was delighted to try this watermelon one. The watermelon scent is great, and these circles can be put under your eyes, all over your face, or anywhere else on your body! I do consider these as more of a novelty rather than something to really help my skin, but there’s nothing wrong with a little novelty now and then!
Natural Friend Nanocell Moisture Mask - Retail Value $4
This mask is packed with good-for-you ingredients like hyaluronic acid and green tea extract, which as a whole combined to be hydrating and skin soothing. After wearing it I thought my natural redness was toned down a tad, and my face wasn't left sticky. Duchess also thought this packaging, in particular, was fun to chew on when I wasn't looking.
Beyond Herb Garden Sheet Mask in Tea Tree - Retail Value $3
Tea tree is an awesome ingredient for oily and acne prone skin, so I was happy to see this was the variation I received. This had a gentle tea tree scent and after wearing this my acne felt soothed and my cheeks were less red.
Hello Skin Jumiso Sheet Mask - Retail Value $3
I’ve tried this mask before, and I still love the really cute packaging! I received the brightening version, and while I didn’t really think my skin looked any brighter after wearing I was happy with the hydration and how my skin felt.
The Saem Honey Facial Cream, 200 ml – Retail Value $12
This is a BIG jar of facial cream - if I didn’t know better I would think this was a body butter. This is gentle and hydrating thanks to the honey, but I don’t know if I want to make this my go-to moisturizer—even though my box is specifically for oily skin, this is just a touch too heavy for my skin. It does have a nice water-gel-cream consistency, and a little goes a long way.
The Verdict: This month's PinkSeoul Mask Box was a winner for me! A lot of the masks were packed with skin-soothing ingredients which is great for a July box where sunburns abound. Also, it felt like the masks this month had extra beautiful packaging that I am all about. I calculated a value of $47, and I am happy with that in a $29.95 box that includes free shipping and doesn’t promise a retail value.
