Star Wars Smugglers Bounty was part of Funko's subscription box model - but will now be sold on a one-off first-come-first-served basis in Summer 2018. This is a review of the past-subscriber-only on-off Solo box.

Please Note: All Funko boxes have now stopped sending via recurring subscription. Find out more in this post. This was the final box for the Star Wars line - the retail partner is yet to be announced.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Products: Each box includes exclusive collectible product created by Marvel/Star Wars & Funko including apparel, collectibles, and accessories worth $50.

Revenge of the Sith Smuggler's Bounty Review

The final box from the current version of Smuggler's Bounty featured items from Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.

Pin - Value $5?

The final box included both the patch and a pin - which was a nice little throwback to how it all began.

Patch - Value $5?

I thought that this was one of the best patches from this subscription as well! Maybe I'm just sad to see the recurring subscriptions end 🙁

Duel on Mustafar Movie Moment - Value $30-35 based on eBay pricing

Funko has been doing a TON of new lines and items - but I think my favorite new thing they've done has been these 'Movie Moment' lines.

I thought the detail was just fantastic on this piece - and it's such a pivotal moment in Star Wars lore!

My only issue with these is that they're so big that I don't know how to display them in the box with all of my other POPs. Good problems.

Emperor Palpatine Mystery Mini - Value $10?

Another major storyline from Episode 3 was the reveal and final steps into the creation of Emperor Palpatine as we knew him when he first hit the screen years before.

They nailed the weird eyes for sure - but I loved the little lightning bolts.

Commander Cody Luggage Tag - Value $5-10?

The final item in the box was a luggage tag featuring clone commander Cody - who would eventually turn on the Jedi and carry out 'Order 66' - which this luggage tag depicts!

The tag is like all of their luggage tags - vinyl, bendable, but still really thick.

Verdict: They definitely did a good job with this box - I would have loved to see more and more Movie Moments make their way into these boxes over time, too. I'll miss having these just recur - but we'll do our best to snag them once they become available again.

To Wrap Up:

I’m with you about how to display these bigger pops. But it’s a problem I’m ok having 🙂 I really hope they continue this one at some retail outlet I can get to!

Thank you for the review! We didn’t get a mystery mini in our box, so I didn’t know one was supposed to be included. I’ve never had this issue with SB, but I’m going to reach out and see if they can send one.

This has been an awesome sub box, so we’re sad to see it go!
