The Subscription Box: Third & Main

The Products: Third & Main is a subscription box that brings the charm of small-town main street boutiques to your door. Each carefully curated box will include home and self-care items from “mission-minded” vendors right here in the US. Third & Main also includes information on the vendors, so you can keep supporting the small businesses you love.  According to their site, each box contains 4-6 full-size items with a total value anywhere between $85-$110!

The box includes cards highlighting the month's selections and the vendors/makers behind each item. The cards are bound together into a booklet. This month's theme is "Vintage Picnic."

Now, on to the items!

Doe A Deer Handmade Lemon Napkins (Set of 4) - Value Listed $39

How adorable and summery are these napkins?!

They measure 13" by 13", they are made of 100% flour sack cotton, and they are machine washable, too.

Creative Co-Op White Enamel Carry Caddy - Value Listed $24.99

This measures 16" X 5" with a 2.5" height. Third & Main recommends using this to bring your dining outdoors for a picnic, or adding plants or flower pots, or adding mason jars to store toothbrushes, makeup brushes, etc. in your bathroom. Lots of possibilities!

I like the simple lines and colors, and think this will be great for a little succulent garden. (I just wish the faux distressing was a little less even.)

Creative Co-Op Farm Animal Plates - Value Listed $20

Again, love the simple colors - they are a great way to introduce a bold print! These stoneware appetizer plates measure 5" across, and they are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe!

360 Flavor & Spice Dried Lavender Buds - Value Listed $2.50

Third & Main also included a recipe for Lavender Lemon Shortbread Cookies:

Verdict: This box has a total retail value of around $86.49. That's pretty fair, given the $54.95 price for the box (plus $10 shipping to most of the US). I think this box is well-curated, and they do a great job matching a theme. This box feels like a fresh take on the picnic theme, and I like it!

Just found a set of the plates. I know hub. will be thrilled to death to eat appetizers in these- not. I think they’re darling. Maybe I also watched too much ” Fixer Upper”?

I agree with the smeared blood comment on the carry caddy. That thing is just ugly.

That very piece is at Hobby Lobby for about $15.00. The plates are cute but this sub is overpriced.

OMG how cute.. Did the plates fit in the tray or not? They both say a width of 5 inches. Just curious, can’t really afford it anyways.

If you move the plates on the right to the left side they animal halves will match up!

That caddy looks like it has smeared blood on it. I’m wondering if you could paint over it? The napkins and plates were adorable though!

I think I might watch too much “I.D.” channel because my first thought was ” Blood stains on a dish?” and second impression, which stayed with me was ” Why are some of the Seven Dwarfs on the sides?” ( Pointy hat looking silhouettes.)

However, as someone who grew up on a farm, I LOVE those plates and would likely display them somehow in my modern blue and white kitchen! 🙂

$65 for this? It’s $15 more than FFF. No way. $20 max.
