UrbaneBox June 2018 Review
UrbaneBox has moved in the direction of including more well-known brands in their boxes in response to subscriber feedback. This month they’ve included 2 pieces from French Connection. Let’s see what they look like!
There is a flat rate envelope for any returns/exchanges you June have. You simply log on to your account and request a return label if needed. All shipping charges for size exchanges are free.
Striped Cold Shoulder Dress in Black/White, Size M - Retail Value $118
What a perfect, breezy dress for summer. The fabric is 100% polyester and is machine washable. Yay! The dress is fully lined which makes me feel comfortable enough to skip the bra preventing any straps from showing. The length is fine for me but if you wanted, you could layer this and wear it as a tunic. I always wear a pair of compression shorts under flowy dresses to prevent any potential mishaps. My only concern is that it feels just a bit big and overwhelms me with the amount of fabric. I’m going to switch this for a small and see if that solves the problem.
Cobra Foil Trouser in Winter White, Size 6 - Retail Value $168
These are such pretty white pants! They are winter white, thin corduroy material with a white foil cobra pattern that gives a little sheen to the fabric. It’s subtle but elevates these so they aren’t boring. There is a bit of elastane in the material to give them a comfortable amount of stretch. They fit well through the leg and hip, but I can’t get them to button. I wanted to try to exchange for a size up but unfortunately, they are out of stock. My stylist is going to send me a different style to replace them.
Verdict: Though I had fit issues with both of my items this month, I’m impressed with the quality and styles. I like both the dress and the pants and I think that UrbaneBox's efforts of including bigger and more high-quality brands in their boxes is paying off. Luckily, I’ll be able to exchange the dress for a different size and I’m looking forward to seeing what my stylist sends to replace the pants. This is where the free shipping, free size exchanges, and great customer service plays into the value.
