Frequency Box "Chill" August 2018 Review
The ingo card has a short paragraph on this month's theme which is "Chill" and has all of the items listed out, how to use them, and their retail value.
A wonderful-smelling eucalyptus branch was also included, though not counted as an item. It's bringing so much joy to my office right now!
I don't know why but I love how these items come wrapped.
Lavender Essential Oil with Snow Quartz, 0.5 - Retail Value $8.99
Yes yes yes! I feel like I am always going on about how much I love lavender (and how everything smells) but I can't help it. Lavender is known to chill you out so it's perfect for a box like this. Sometimes I struggle to know what to do with all the essential oils I've acquired, but the info card gives me several tips which is so awesome. A couple drops in a cool bath (for this hot month), add to unscented lotion, or defuse bedside are a few of the options. I also had no idea that lavender was part of the mint family but they mention that in the card too! What I love about Frequency's essential oils and makes them unique is that there are crystals in each one as well!
Clarity Essential Oil with Rainbow Fluorite - Retail Value $9.99
I am sooo excited because the clarity scent from Frequency is already a favorite because of the spray they included in the first box I received back in April. It's so crisp, clean, and minty from its blend of spearmint, rosemary, eucalyptus, and lime. Like, what? Who thinks these things up because they work so well together and are all scents I adore. So what did I do with this oil? I immediately used my tea light diffuser that I got in the last box to fill my office full of this uplifting scent! Also- at least two coworkers asked what the lovely smell was coming out of my office...
Eucalyptus Sore Muscle Oil, 2 oz. - Listed Retail Value $14.99
This has a powerful minty smell that really packs a punch and helps soothe sore muscles by rubbing onto your skin. It's delivered in a spray bottle but they've also included a dropper to disperse larger amounts as needed. In addition to the eucalyptus essential oil, this has grapeseed, safflower, and avocado oils as well. Like their essential oils, this has quartz points in it to give an extra boost! Can't wait to test this out after some tedious hours of yard work.
Peppermint and Tea Tree Soap - Listed Retail Value $6.99
I feel like they are playing my favorites this month! I also adore tea tree on top of any minty smells, plus I love that this half moon bar is clear with green aventurine stones in it! I don't normally use bar soap at home, but it's much easier to travel with so this will be coming on my New England road trip in a couple of weeks!
Green Aventurine Energy Generator - Listed Retail Value $14.99
Whoa- I have never seen something like this. In the center is a pyramid, surrounded by four small wands, connected with a silver setting. Apparently, the configuration of the stones in this piece amplifies the energy of the green aventurine which is supposed to anti-inflammatory soothing properties. Certainly a great stone to help you chill.
Enchanted Botanicals Talisman High Vibe Scrub - Retail Value $10.00
The last item is a body scrub made of mint and grapefruit with coconut oil and sugar. Inside, there hides a prehnite crystal (which calms and brings inner peace) to find as you use it. They've added a bamboo spoon to be able to scoop out the right amount to use in the shower as needed to scrub away dull skin. The consistency is like soft wet sand and if you like grapefruit, you're in luck because it has both peel and essential oil. I'll probably hold on to this until the winter months when my skin will need it more.
There's a business card as well so you know how to get ahold of more goodies.
The Verdict: I'm just over the moon about Frequency Box this month. All of the scented items smelled so freaking good and I just want to lap up the clarity oil (even though I won't). I find this subscription to be really well curated and thoughtfully packed. I love they most of it comes from their shop but they mix in other items from small makers as well to round out the experience. I love that I can also pair some of what I got in this box with items I got in past ones to make them super useful.
