August 2018 Lootaku "Go Beyond. PLUS ULTRA! (My Hero Academia)" Review

The August shipment was dedicated to 'My Hero Academia'.

Each month includes a detailed information card with information on each item - including item values based on online price at the time of curation.

Shoto Todoroki Pin - Value $9

They've started to do the enamel pin thing that most geeky boxes do - this month kicks of the My Hero Academia stuff with a pin of Shoto Todoroki.

All Might - Go Beyond - Value $20

Like the pin, this t-shirt is a Lootaku exclusive, and we're starting to see these in their monthly shipments more and more. The print is big and bold - it's very cool, but it also feels like it could break down after a few washes - but I can't confirm that at this time.

Banpresto DXF SP My Hero Academia Bakugou - Value $30 on card, $36 at Target

It's not a Lootaki box unless I'm unboxing a Banpresto statue!

Banpresto statues typically arrive in pieces, protected by this plastic.

Once together, they seriously have a paint job to be admired! The figure stands about 7 inches tall on the platform.

I don't know much about My Hero Academia, but I always admire well-done figures and statues! You'd either get Bakugou or Midoriya - and I'm glad I got this figure because then I knew what this item was...

My Hero Academia Bakugou Grenadier Bracers Arm Plush - Value $20

You get this awesome little accessory for fun, or for cosplay!

It's all plush and right up to scale with the character!

I did my best to replicate the stance - needs some practice!

My Hero Academia Canvas Tote Bag - Value $12

The final item in the box brings a few characters together on a canvas tote.

It's a high-quality canvas tote - with a button clasp at the top if needed.

Verdict: This was the second delivery in a row where I wasn't really versed on the show/anime - that being said, I do know that the items were both fun and high-quality, so fans of My Hero Academia are sure to like this one.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You'll find the current theme on the landing page.
