Royal Sport Limited Tumbler

I also review the mini version of this subscription, and I got this same tumbler in that box in June. I also got packets of their whey protein in June's regular sized box. It's not a bad tumbler, and I like the dark purple color. I wish the design was a little more fun, rather than just a big brand name, but it's certainly practical.

Metal Bacon Sign

While I know my bacon-loving partner would LOVE to hang something like this in our kitchen, my vegetarian-leaning tastes are going to keep him from achieving this particular dream. This metal poster is definitely quirky. I'll have to hang onto it as a gag gift for another meat-eater I know.

Flexible Lantern

This is a curious little item. It's essentially a lantern (the base has a battery pack and lights inside of it) with a squishy plastic body that doubles as a canteen. It's a little odd, but I'm willing to give it a try the next time I head to an outdoor concert or outdoor evening get-together.

11 Piece Star Wars Wall Decal Set

If you don't love Star Wars, this might not be the subscription box for you! I've gotten SO much Star Wars merch, from home products to kids books, via this subscription. I don't dislike the franchise, but it's definitely more than I bargained for. These wall decals are made to be repositioned and reused as you like. They're also washable and pretty sturdy. I'm keeping them in my "potential future gifts" pile for kiddos in my family. It'll be a solid gift for someone around the holidays. But for me? Eh, not my fave.

Mainstays 24-Cup Cupcake Carrier

I recognized this carrier as a Walmart brand, but the site no longer lists it. I've never had one of these cupcake caddies, but I love the idea of bringing tidy treats to parties, etc. (I've been getting way into baking lately.) I can use the metal tin to cook the cupcakes in and then transfer it right into the caddy, or I can do two batches and use the red tray as a second tier. The part I like best is that you can flip the whole thing over and use the clear plastic lid as a stand to sit the cupcake tin inside. Easy displaying, easing serving!

The Verdict: This month's box had some real hits and some eh... so-so items for me. I really like the cupcake tin and I'm happy to add the tumbler to my collection. But everything else felt like a miss, unfortunately. I'll probably be able to repurpose some items into gifts, but I was a little underwhelmed, personally.

To Wrap Up:

What is up with Star Wars and this subscription? I think they should have done a Star Wars themed box and then they would have been fine with it. So odd. The cupcake taker is practical but seems like it take up a lot of space. I usually use a clothing box for mine and they are fine. Lol.

Everything looks so cheap 🙁 I honestly would not find any use for any of these items.

The lantern canteen is actually pretty cool for camping/power outages. Never tested the theory, but allegedly putting the water and light together diffuses the light so it can spread out way more than if you just had a tiny light. And then you can drink it.

The bacon sign is awesome. I have this area in the kitchen that no one can see unless they’re in the kitchen near the sink. I have a collection of tin signs and decorative license plates there. It’s a perfect spot cause if I have guests over and we’re all just sitting in the living room, no one can see the secret corner but when I’m washing dishes, I can look at everything and smile.

Haha! That’s awesome, Velvet! I like the idea of having a whole wall of fun conversation pieces like that 🙂

Every time I see a review of these this company seems like someone who buys bulk boxes of returns/unsold merch and repackages them as subscription boxes… Just packages of random junk they’d have a hard time moving elsewhere.

I was thinking the same too! And then I already feel like everywhere is already so saturated with Star Wars items after the last few new movies that came out, that this company gets the leftovers/overflow from stores for dirt cheap and adds them to the box. I mean for goodness sake, Ziplock has a new commercial out for their new Star Wars plastic baggies and there’s not even a new movie out to even begin justifying it! I’m pretty confident that you could name a type/category of product and there would be a Star Wars version. Now don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of the movies, but I’m not going to be rushing out to the store anytime soon for some Yoda earhair trimmers or Chewbacca toilet paper lol 😉

Here, here, Mallory! I feel the EXACT same way! Also oh my goodness did “Yoda earhair trimmers or Chewbacca toilet paper” ever give me a laugh!!!!

Ragan

Yeah, that is exactly what they do. Google “Jammin Butter having fun making money” and go to the Business Journal article that shows up as the first search result. (I’m thinking about the part about Big Lots but I see evidence of this in their pet boxes, too.)

Funny cause that’s what it looks like to me too!

I had to let my subscription go, after getting a new bank card. I just was not thrilled with the items they were sending. When they first started, I was getting some great items. Now, I feel like I could get these items or( similar) at a discount store, paying much less.
FYI..if you sign up for axm sister-box, after changing your bank card, letting past boxes cancel, it WILL re- link to your old subscriptions. I got their 5.00 jewelry box after months of no Mysterybox…and my new card info attached to that, too😢. So make sure you cancel all info and the box, not just the card…if that makes sense.

They must’ve gotten one heck of a deal on this Royal brand’s promo junk.
