Oui Fresh August 2018 Review
You'll find an info card that doubles as a print and lists all of the items, plus where you can buy more of them.
Vapour Beauty Elixir Plumping Gloss - Retail Value $25.00
I've noticed that Oui Fresh really loves lip gloss. If it's not their own brand, it's a natural brand that they've found to include. This one comes from Vapour Beauty which I'm familiar with already. Unfortunately, I am not a lip gloss gal. This one is a really pretty pale pink color and smells sweet like candy. I'll be passing it on to one of my lip gloss loving girlfriends.
Noto Botanics Hydra Highlighter - Retail Value $25.00
I've been highlighter obsessed for months now so this is a treat for me. I'm not familiar with the brand, but it looks clean and minimal which is right up my alley. I tried to swatch this below but it's virtually invisible on my arm. In person though, this gives such a delicate dewy look that I love. This is truly the minimalist makeup lover's dream. Many highlighters are filled with sparkle and pigment but this one keeps things subtle and gives just barely enough highlight to places like my nose, cheekbones, and cupids bow. It also happens to smell amazing due to the lavender oil included.
Here are swatches of the lip gloss and almost invisible highlighter (just below).
Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash, Travel Size - Retail Value $12.00
Gosh, this brand seems so familiar to me but I can't recall why. I recently ran out of my foaming face wash and have been bouncing around a few other cleansers I have but nothing is really sticking. This one stood out to me though. Mainly, I immediately loved the smell which is a prerequisite to any skincare product for me. It smells like a fresh mojito which makes sense because it's made with lime, cedar, and spearmint. What an awesome combination! This foaming gel didn't seem to foam too much for me, but did get my acne super duper clean and made me feel like a million bucks. Strongly considering getting a full size of this.
Ursa Major Essential Face Tonic, Travel Size - Retail Value $14.00
The second Ursa Major item is their Essential Face Tonic which includes aloe, bamboo, and green tea. It's quite refreshing and perfect to use as a toner after cleansing in the evening and morning. This is a 4-1 product that "cleans, exfoliates, soothes and hydrates" your skin and also smells great with orange, fir, and lavender scents. I think I have other mists that I like a bit better, but I'll keep this one in my travel case.
Josh Rosebrook Nutrient Day Cream with SPF 30, 2 ml samples 2x - Estimated Retail Value $5.67 (Buy 60 ml for $85.00)
I am a real hater of foil pack samples in beauty boxes. When I see them as a listed item instead of just a bonus, I can't help but kinda roll my eyes... even if it's a super expensive brand! I know it's bratty, but I feel like they are easily picked up as free samples from a large beauty store. That being said, I tried this day cream out and holy moly do I love it. It's hard to say what makes this so obviously a cut above, but after applying it, my skin felt extremely soft and cared for. It also has SPF which usually makes moisturizers kinda heavy but this one felt light. I think I can get 3 applications from each sample as well. Another product that is really tempting me to buy...
Verdict: Oui Fresh Beauty Box turned me on to a few products this month that are making me seriously consider splurging on the full sizes of. Let me tell you, that is super rare for me. I normally use up what I get in subscription boxes and move on to the next. While the gloss was a miss for me, I was really impressed by the face wash, highlighter, and day cream. The value here is also really nice seeing as though I received $81.67 worth of products for $36.99 ($29.00 + $7.00 shipping).
